Ohio State Recruiting Thread

devil1197Yeah they can, its easy. Keep it and give it to a player that wants to be a Buckeye next season.
If Louis does pull his OSU commit on Wednesday it will be him who looks like the idiot and not OSU. People aren't too kind of waiting until the dead period before changing your mind if you have had a solid verbal for months. -
rocket31how many schollies does OSU have left?
-
devil1197
Two but many feel they can fit a 3rd into this class.rocket31 wrote: how many schollies does OSU have left?
They have 83 right now on the roster.
The main guys are Henderson, Moses, and Anderson. Moses was Top 50 last year and a 4 star while we know what the other two are.
Brown to L'Ville and James to ND. -

i thought it was only two which is further evidence that james will go to the irish.devil1197 wrote:

well, good luck with seantrel then...the last place i want him is USC -
devil1197You should have realized that James was going to ND when OSU made a hard push for Moses.
Personally, just football skills I'll take Moses but overall student athlete is probably James although Moses is working his ass off to show OSU that he can make it. -
charliehustle14Louis is starting to get on my nerves. If you don't want to be a Buckeye, fine, that's cool. But out of respect to a coaching staff that spent a lot of effort recruiting you, let them know ahead of time if you have changed your mind.
We're fine with or without Louis. James Jackson and Chris Fields are just as fast and explosive.
And I don't understand Anderson. And I don't like some of his issues. But I think he's a high risk high reward guy that OSU can afford to take a chance on. Maybe he'll buy into Tressel's program, straighten up, and reach his potential of becoming an elite player. -

moses would have never qualified for notre dame so i guess i am stuck taking james out of those two.devil1197 wrote: You should have realized that James was going to ND when OSU made a hard push for Moses.

j_crazyJames is a damn good player, I'd take him over moses because moses seems to coast on god given ability while james seems like a workhorse.
-
devil1197
Nope he wouldn't and that is why, without being a dick, ND will never get back to an elite program every year.rocket31 wrote:

I felt James was going to ND all along--it's a good fit....and thanks for the well wishes on Henderson--he'd look really good in scarlet and grayrocket31 wrote:

Moses is a beast, if OSU gets one their not losing out on the other basically.j_crazy wrote: James is a damn good player, I'd take him over moses because moses seems to coast on god given ability while james seems like a workhorse. -
j_crazytotally agree, both are tremendous players.
i've officially had it with louis. whether or not he is a buckeye, he's permanently on my shit list. -

no offense taken...devil1197 wrote:

eventually the collegiate athlete norm of being a *thug* who exudes *swagga* will fade away and then players might start to place values toward intelligence and education...
...well at least i hope -

this is their only hope.
it won't happen IMO and it has as much to do with the society than the kids. essentially pro athletes are worshipped in this country (I'm a prime example) and these kids that show an affinity in a sport get coddled along to where the sport becomes the kids' focus and the academics take a back seat. the blame for this is place squarely on the kid's parents for not busting their ass and making them excel in the classroom before they get an opportunity to excel on the field. it also goes to show that kids from St. X and Mooney go to UND and kids from Glenville go to OSU. sure the talent and Glenville may be greater, but the quality of the kid is severly lacking. -
gorocks99Just saw the link to Louis' facebook, looks pretty legit that he's switching. Now, about Henderson...
-
charliehustle14I just looked at Louis' facebook. It is pretty ridiculous. It's like he changes his mind every week. First OSU, then Florida, and now Minnesota. And I noticed he has many OSU players/commits on his friends list....I imagine they don't think too kindly of it, even if he did end up at OSU when it's all said and done.
-
gorocks99Whole bunch of dumb fans commenting on his status, too.
-
devil1197Can you post the link?
-
j_crazyi would. if he switches now it's bush league.
yeah, maybe i don't wish that, but seriously i'm pissed. -

idealistically, i see a change with time, but like you, i have my doubts.... -
gorocks99Wishing harm on a high schooler ... class!
It's cool if you're angry about him switching, but in the end it's college football and these are 18 y/o kids...no reason to be truly upset unless you're crazy.

devil1197Easy, save that for Wednesday.
I'll be very pissed along with every OSU fan if he switches without the chance for Tressel to talk to him. -
j_crazy
yea i edited it, i'd never wish for someone to get hurt, but i'm still pissed.gorocks99 wrote: Wishing harm on a high schooler ... class!
