I'd love to see Frank Beamer come with 200 points of Urban with a developed QB.

Harbaugh does not want the UM job.

How is that desperate? Wouldn't you expect UM officials to travel to their desired coach to lure him in?

It'll be interesting to see what happens after Sunday's game. I'm just curious to see what happens if he opts for something else, and what's tsun's next move will be.

edit: also just read on another board that he'll be introduced as their hc at the bball game vs. Illiinois on Tuesday....time will tell ;)

I assume UM would have to pay a buyout being that Harbaugh is still under contract or are the 49ers expected to just fire him?

    It usually does.

According to this, they won't ask for anything.

Take it fwiw, but I think con alma said he has an exit clause for Michigan in his contract.

Best thing that could possibly happen to the conference. Harbaugh will build a juggernaut at Michigan.

    The Iggy Curse. Thank you.

Agreed. A rival that sucks is not a rival; it's more like Indiana. Michigan being back on top will be great.

It's still a rival whether one of the teams suck or not. TTUN being elite again will be good for the national perception of the B1G, but I could give a rats ass whether they're ever elite again as far as the rivalry is concerned. They're that team up north--game (always) on.

One of the things that make is "The Game" is that more times than not there was always something on the line and they were both elite teams. After awhile, it will become just another rivalry game if the trend continues.

Kinda like Browns and Steelers. Steelers dominated so much, the Ravens have taken over as their big rival.

I respect your rationale, Chiefs, but I disagree. IMO, because of their long history and border status, this will always be viewed as "The Game", even if only mainly in Ohio and Michigan.

I would be surprised if Harbaugh stays more than 3 or 4 years at Michigan. Just seems like a guy that wants to be in the NFL. This gives him control of his destiny.

No. the only "out" written into his contract is for an offer from the U of M. He may get fired but he also is able to walk away for the U of M job.

I agree with this. That being said, Harbaugh's hiring would be good for both ttun and the B1G, but it still remains that....In Urban We Trust!

Urb might want to tear up that contract with his family because Harbaugh is going to be a recruiting monster in this area.

That half assed family shit isn't going to be winning National titles with Michigan putting a respectable product on the field.

We need the Florida version of Meyer back that cared so much he didn't sleep and lost 30 pounds in a season.

That guy really wanted it. We need him back.

He's lost 0 conference games at osu... I think he's ok. Settle down.

Yeah this. They are in the first ever CFB playoff. What more does the guy need to do?

Recruiting Manziel to play QB would've been helpful.

While I agree, I still count the conf. championship as a conference L
