Michigan has offered Harbaugh the job...

My question is, what is the backup plan if Harbaugh declines or is it already a done deal. UM just gave up a recruiting year, so the hire better be a home run.

This is how it is gonna go down.
The first runner up to the Massillon HS football coaching job will be offered and take the job at Michigan so until Massillon decides on their coach this Michigan job wont be resloved.

I predict and info-share that when Michigan takes the field next year...THEY WILL HAVE A HEAD COACH!!!!

    Time will tell...

    Everyone???

After I stated on 9/22 that Hoke would be fired the following posts were made:
SportsAndLady;1656618 wrote:That's bullshit. Harbaugh isn't coaching fucking Michigan.
Classyposter58;1656626 wrote:Colin Cowherd was talking about it this morning with Pollack. Said no chance Harbaugh wants to go back to college and if he leaves SF he'll have any job he wants
    This one's of particular interest.
WebFire;1656666 wrote:I don't think Harbaugh will ever go to Michigan either. John maybe, but not Jim. The only way Michigan will fix this it to name their coach and pay him what he wants.
    ...and this one.

Everyone did not know or guess on Hoke being fired and Jim Harbaugh being hired. It still may not happen but it wasn't expected to happen by some.

Care to share when a new AD was discussed and Manuel's name was thrown out?

None of those posts say anything about Hoke. Everyone, EVERYONE, knew Hoke was in trouble right after the ND game. Not rocket science.

Also, none of those posts say Michigan wouldn't go after Harbaugh. Everyone, EVERYONE, knew Michigan would go after Harbaugh. The posts you listed simply are opinions on whether he'd take the job. I'm still doubtful until he puts the ink on paper.

Really, you never heard anyone mention Manual as a Brandon replacement? Do you even look at the fucking internet?

Somebody just pat con_alma on the back, and let's move on.

My response was to you stating that everyone knew or guessed the information I provided. They didn't in either case. No one did. Even in Ann Arbor.

I didn't say I have never heard anyone mention Manuel as Brnadon's replacement. Heck, because I heard it I posted it on here. I asked if you would be willing to share when the AD being replaced was discussed and Manuel's name was thrown out.

No thanks. I don't want a pat on the back or credit for anything. I'm just responding to Web's post whereby he want's to guess that if Harbaugh signs I will state that I predicted it based on some insider info.

Update...Cam Cameron withdrew his name for HC consideration after learning about the offer to be made available to Harbaugh. He plans on discussing with Harbaugh the possibility of being his OC.

The hold up on Manuel for AD is based on Michigan talking with Playoff Committee chair Jeff Long about the position.

Andy Moeller, Cleveland Browns O-Line Coach is also expected to talk with Harbaugh about a position.

It doesn't sound as if Mrs. Harbaugh will be too resistant. She was looking at houses this week in Brighton, Michigan.

...and now another contributing factor to the pace of the AD search/hire process is that acting AD Jim Hackett and Jack Harbaugh continue to have a good relationship.

The most inportant factor, however, should be their desire to the the right guy in there obviously.

Huh? Am I missing something, or isn't Brighton like 3 hours from Ann Arbor? That sounds like winter ski/vacation lodge to me (though I have no idea why a multi-millionaire would look there)

I hope Harbaugh stretches this out and then leaves them high and dry. Screw all the "its good for the conference" crap. I hate tsun and hope they never win another game.
  • mcburg93
I was one of the guys that said michigan being good is good for the conference. Since the buckeyes made it to the playoffs with michigan being bad I am all for them sucking till the end of time.

I'm in the same boat. I hope Michigan goes 0-12 ever year. I only want them to have Harbaugh so they go 0-12 with Harbaugh.

The B1G could have Michigan never win a game for the next 4000 years and it would still be a tough conference.
