Ole Miss did after losing to LSU.

The truth is FSU, Oregon, MSU /Alabama are all win and your in. The last spot is up for grabs but TCU, Baylor, and Arizona State all need to lose for OSU to get in.

You can make excuses all you want but a loss to a terrible Virginia Tech team is almost insurmountable to overcome even though I think OSU would have a shot to beat any team.
Im not saying they're in now, broski.

I'm confident that other teams will lose that will help OSU squeak into that last playoff spot. Happens every year almost. Teams choke in November. Just keep winning and winning big and they'll be in. My opinion.

Luckily a committee can differentiate circumstances. Buckeyes did lose in September with a brand new line a freshman qb.

So your logic is to punish those who aren't already at the top of their game Week 1. A "hot" team getting better and dominating doesn't matter or deserve a look because at the beginning they weren't that great.

You valuing the road/home factor a little more than I would?
    Yup. Coaches poll.
    Damn, I was close.

OSU fans really should be upset at that Utah WR. That guy single-handedly changed the landscape of the playoff. That game took a complete 180 after that dumb play.

Screw Oklahoma being in the top 25

I think Nebraska and Arizona State both go down next weekend.

Nebraska is the biggest fraud by far of all the "contenders".

Their schedule is embarrassing and they have played absolutely no one.

If they aren't exposed this week they will be in the Big 10 championship where OSU will beat them by 4 TD's.

They are fooling no one with this act of playing the Little Sisters of the Poor each week.

As much as I want it to happen it ain't gonna - the VT loss just ain't gonna let us get in. Deal with it and move on people.

Would you mind sticking to the Browns threads and leaving these unsoiled by your bullshit? Thank you.

Why the hell is a 3 loss team in the top 25? Because SEC.

OSU will win the national title this year. I hope we play Alabama and then Miss St and beat them by 100 combined.
  • Midstate01
Need Nebraska to win out till B1G championship game. Need them in top 10.

Utah has 3 losses and is 25th. They would go undefeated in the SEC though so I can see why they are still ranked.

I don't think OSU makes the playoff.

But they will win out and clownstomp UM in The Shoe.

I think my grandma and her nursing home buddies could win the SEC East. Not much of an accomplishment.

    Because Big 12 also.

    Oklahoma sucks

OSU is in IF the following, IMO...and it has nothing to do with who they beat.

TCU loses at Texas on Thanksgiving night.

I disagree with it, but I think OSU will end up jumping Baylor.
  • Tiernan
The powers to be need this first play-off to have as much credibility and lack of controversy as possible. Because of that NO WAY IN HELL does OSU get in no matter what happens. The rest of the nation hates the Buckeyes and B1G in general and there would be riots on some campuses if OSU got in. VT has 5 losses people and may lose again...the new QB and young OL story just can't cover that mound of shit up. They have improved and just like the team that beat ND in the Fiesta Bowl may very well be playing the best ball of any team come the end of the year, but I'm telling you THEY AIN'T GETTING IN.

    You took Michigan State

If money matters (which it does and it's stupid ) osu will jump Baylor at some point if there 4 and 5. Baylor will bring in nothing in the playoff compared to what osu would.

    We would smoke Baylor

The winners of the 4 major conferences should get the 4 spots in the playoff.

Hopefully such a result would force the big 10 to get serious about football again or accept that they will continue to be left out until the level of quality improves.

That is the best we can hope for as fans, as it will spur the real change we need in the conference.

Who are you leaving out from the 5 major conferences?
