Wow, clock didn't start for at least 2 seconds. ISU may get screwed...
  • Azubuike24
This is going to be very interesting. Paige touched it and the clock stuck on 1.6 seconds for at least 3 dribbles...

    Ball game.
  • se-alum
Didn't even run the clock after the ball was inbounded!

No shit. What was the clock operator doing?

    This.

What will the refs do? Clearly when they review this, they will realize the clock operator didn't start it. Now, what do they put on? It's like seeing a clear facemask penalty on a reviewable play looking for another type of call...

Clearly they should put a full minute back on the clock.
  • wildcats20
    It's over.

WTF is up with the clock operators during this tournament?
  • reclegend22
    This game should be over.
  • Azubuike24
Steve Kerr is a fucking idiot. Isn't even talking about it being not started...
  • Azubuike24
The right call. Game OVER. Good job refs. That is the correct decision.
  • se-alum
    Got it right.
  • ernest_t_bass
    Hell yes
  • Iliketurtles
Good job refs finally got something right.
  • wildcats20
    Hard to argue with that.

I feel for UNC, because this is like the refs missing a clear pass interference call while reviewing a play to see if a DB caught an interception. The clock operator fucked up. That led to UNC trying to call a timeout with about .5 or .6 left. Not to say that Paige saw the clock not running (IMO, he should've just shot it from half court, that's all you can do). However, his actions on the court were because of the clock operator's failure, and then the refs are allowed to go back and subjectively say the time should've run out. It's kinda BS, even though the right outcome occurred.

Right call. If you are going to do reviews, you have to review it all, not just part of it.

    Eeh that's a stretch.

The whole reason for the review was for the clock. I have no issue with the way it was handled.

This is why I hate football reviews. They can completely overlook the facemask that caused the RB to fumble the ball, while they are reviewing whether the fumble was legit. Only 1 part of it can actually be overturned.

Jesus christ I'm sick of that Chris Webber/Burger King commercial.

Looking ahead, Tennessee vs. UM is a real contrast of styles. Stokes and GRIII are going to have to match up on each other.
