MARCH MADNESS 2014 - NCAA Tourney Thread

It all starts today. If you're doing ESPN, you still have a few hours to change your picks.

Tennessee or UMass? I'm struggling with that one?

Also, I don't think the Buckeyes make it past the 2nd round.

Most interested in a few potential upset picks.

    Eastern Kentucky over Kansas
    Western Michigan over Syracuse
    Wofford over Michigan
New Mexico State over San Diego State
    Mercer over Duke

I don't consider any team lower than a 4-seed losing in RD1 an "upset."

    I have NDState over Oklahoma.

    EKU over Kansas? Lol

I like NDST over Oklahoma and NCST over St Louis the most.

I could see ULL beating Creighton, Providence over UNC, Tennessee over UMASS.

I just love it if Delaware pulled the upset on MSU would love for tons of people's brackets to be killed.

Good to know you feel that way Classy. Makes me a lot happier about my Sean Kilpatrick pick in our player pickem.

Milwaukee over Villanova is probably the most likely 15 over 2, although, as I said here before Selection Sunday, as a Duke fan EKU scared the hell out of me as a potential two seed.

EKU has a potent offense. The Colonels are 28th nationally in scoring at just under 80 per game and 11th in FG%. Led by the dangerous outside attack of Glenn Cosey (42% 3-PT)) and Orlando Williams (42% 3-PT)), EKU hits almost 10 triples a game at a 40% clip. The Colonels can also cause great confusion with their pressure D, ranking seventh nationally in steals per game.

Luckily for me, Duke got Mercer, which only beat Seton Hall and Ole Miss and lost to Texas by three.

My buddy was talking about EKU winning so I gave him 15-1 odds. Going to be really upset if Eastern Kentucky loses, lol.

We get it. You bring zero value to anything.

Has nothing to do with me being a fan, has everything to do with Kansas beating EKU by 20+.

Why don't you Stay off the college basketball forum and stick to the bs forum where you can create your little username competitions and try to become the most popular poster on the OC.

We actually like sticking to the topic on this forum and you know actually talking college basketball.

I hope Kansas loses in the first round, or they win the whole thing.

How bad will Kansas be hurt without Embiid?

    On topic.

Seems to still be on topic.

First part obviously off topic. Second part back on track.

Yes... as noted above, I'm the one that got it off topic... OK!

Depends if that lazy ass Wiggins decides to play or not.

I honestly could see OSU being knocked off by Dayton. This is the most questionable, unreliable OSU team that I can remember.
  • Azubuike24
Like I said, 5/12, 6/11, 7/10 and 8/9 are not really upsets. Look at the spreads in those games...about damn even mostly.

I have New Mexico beating them. Then again, my bracket last year says I'm a derp, so that might not be the most reliable of sources.

My bracket every year says I'm a derp. I have a feeling that Wichita State could be a buster for a lot of people, even though they are a #1. I have them getting beat by Kentucky, but shit, they could just win it all. Who the F knows.

Tennessee should beat UMass. I would be more surprised if UMass won.

Interested in a potential VCU - UCLA round 2 matchup. SloMo vs. Havoc. He might legitimately have double digit turnovers in that game.
  • ernest_t_bass
Just changed my bracket to have Harvard over Cincy. Cincy has been suspect the last few times I've watched them, and I think Harvard continues to ride the hot streak from last year.
