Who's the last No. 1 seed?

Then why would there be any debate?

If Michigan loses I think it goes to winner of ACC. UM wins today, I think they get it.

There shouldn't be. People just seem to think he is full of shit.

Do you at least think it's possible that the committee has seeds made up for the different scenarios? So they don't change anything after the games, just pick the one that matches the results?

Which is what every committee has done before, apparently, this year.

Greg Sheehan, who headed the committee for a few years recently, just said they will have contingencies for the B1G final today and just submit the bracket that fits the contingency that happened. He said they sometimes had 6-7 for the A10, SEC, ACC and B1G games since the outcomes only affected a few changes.

He said the championship game has 0 outcome on seeding. Just repeating the chair's comments

If Virginia wins today.....and does not get the #1, has an ACC and ACCT champion ever not been a #1?

Duke starting like 02's prayers are coming true

    So Sheehan is lying?
  • Ironman92
Lunardi saying Virginia a 3 seed and UCLA the 4??? They should be 3 seeds apart IMO

    Ask Dubinski, not me.

I'm running a bracket-challenge for family and friends, so when they're available tonight, could someone please recommend a good online bracket that can be easily filled out and emailed to me. Thanks.

If I were you, I'd just use cbssports.com's Bracket Manager. That way everyone can follow the group's brackets/results as the tournament moves along. You'd have to set up an account yourself and then email the group link to everyone. Everything is free. All the participants would have to do is sign up for a cbssports.com account.

That's how one of my friends runs his big one. If that sounds like too much of a hassle this late in the game, though, then maybe somebody else can offer an online bracket somewhere.

Thanks, but there has to be other brackets out there that you just type in your picks and email them to a contact, right?

You would think so, but I'm not really sure. Hopefully someone else can help you out on that.

Before I started using a bracket manager, I used to make people turn in hard copies to me. 2005 seems like forever ago. Lol.

Somebody should tell CBS as well.

So, if the committee does have a contingency plan in place (say one that takes into account Michigan getting walloped today), since Virginia's OOC resume is not worthy IMO of a one seed, does that mean fucking Villanova is starting to snake its way back into that spot?

Vball10set could be right about this season providing the perfect conditions for a 16 to possibly take down a one. With no one deserving that final one spot, and with Wichita State already a top seed -- yes, the Shockers are really good and coming off a Final Four run, but they have played this season largely untested, so who knows how they'll perform in the Big Dance -- there might be two vulnerable teams sitting on the top line. Just a thought.

Yeah selection committee coming out and saying they basically have 2 brackets right now.
  • SportsAndLady
Virginia should be the 1 seed.
  • reclegend22
Yeah, I'd say that since neither Michigan nor Virginia nor Nova deserves the one seed, that Virginia probably gets it, especially based on how Michigan is getting its ass kicked today.

My guess is that one bracket has UM as a 1 seed if they win. Other bracket has them and UVA switched in case they lose.

    But Dubinski said no!

Didn't really pay attention to intra-conference issues, but here's my guess:

    1. Florida, Arizona, Wichita State, Michigan
    2. Virginia, Louisville, Kansas, Duke
    3. Villanova, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Michigan State
    4. UCLA, Syracuse, Creighton, Cinci
    5. Oklahoma, SDSU, UConn, New Mexico
    6. Ohio State, VCU, Baylor, UNC
    7. Kentucky, UMass, St. Louis, Texas
    8. St. Josephs, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Gonzaga
    9. Stanford, Kansas State, Memphis, George Washington
    10. Colorado, Pitt, Arizona State, Providence
    11. Tennessee, BYU, Nebraska, Xavier/Iowa
    12. Dayton/SMU, SF Austin, Harvard, NDSU
    13. Western Michigan, Tulsa, Manhattan, Delaware
    14. NMSU, NC Central, ULL, Mercer
    15. EKU, American, Wofford, Milwaukee
    16. Weber St, Coastal Carolina, Albany/Cal Poly, Mount St Mary/Texas Southern

Lunardi says Virginia is a one.

    Kansas a two.

    Duke a three.
