The Next Tim Tebow?

"Were there any NFL guys saying that McCoy should switch to wide receiver or tight end 3 or 4 games into his second season if he wanted a chance to play at the next lever???" -your post

Once again, McCoy doesn't have the athletic ability or size to be considered for another position. Because of Pryor's attributes, he can.

I'm not arguing whether he will be an elite quarterback or will play QB at the next level. I'm just saying your above quoted point was dumb and not a valid comparison.

yeah you are right, OSU is in the Rose Bowl because of how great of a quarterback Pryor is.

I agree on McCoy not being as athletic.

So in your eyes he's average at best as a true sophomore. Gotcha

I don't think anyone here is arguing that point, most great college QB's would be veiwed as average in their second season, especially by opposition.

Now if you're saying he'll never be an at least above average QB, or has the potential to be so you're going to come out of it looking stupid. So you should probably check yourself before you get in too deep if that's the route you wanna take.

I think I have said "to this point" when discussing Pryor's quarterbacking. Do I think it is possible for him to develop into being a better QB than he is now? Sure, it is possible. I don't think it is too likely however. What has he done to show that he has made improvements from last year? He throws the ball down the field to a wide open Posey a couple times? For every throw like that he has made, he has bounced 2 outs or thrown 2 balls up for grabs in double coverage.

This topic went WAY off topic. And to add to everyones argument, Pryor is very, very, very over-rated against small 10 talent. To put him and McCoy in the same sentence is laughable.
Small 10 talent? Let me remind you the Big 10 has a winning record all time against the SEC.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it
    .
As Ive said 100 times, you are wrong...........again. Look up the REAL facts since the SEC actually became a conference.

McCoy was coming in on the heels of Vince Young and had to duel w/ Jevon Sneed for the job; Pryor knew coming in that Boeckman being a 5th year senior was sort of the incumbent; most figured he'd have a learning curve, that, after the debacle against Ohio in Wk 2 was undoubtedly sped up to try and get him ready for USC
Really? I remember most bucknutz claiming the second coming was on his way to columbus when he finally chose a school.
