You think Braxton can lead this team to a NCG next year?Automatik;1562123 wrote:Can you clarify something? If given the choice...you would rather see Miller leave and Barrett be the starter next year?
If yes..

Not with the O-line graduating. This was the year to do it and the defense let them down.se-alum;1562128 wrote:You didn't answer the question. Do you think Braxton can win an NCG next year? -
AutomatikConsidering who we have, I believe he gives us the best shot.
Now you answer first question and continue to look like a fool. -
Classyposter58Remember when we lost a game on a pick that was never under control?
-
Classyposter58And I think the left side of our line was absolutely horrible tonight, Mewhort was owned all game

You still didn't answer the question. It's not that hard. Do you believe Braxton Miller can win a NCG next year?Automatik;1562130 wrote:Considering who we have, I believe he gives us the best shot.

AutomatikAND NEITHER DID YOU.
I don't think OSU will be good enough as a whole to win it next year. Does that help? -
AutomatikSee post #840 for reference.

Then why waste a season with Braxton, when you can waste a season with the guy you expect to be your future? Obviously if Braxton comes back, he will be the QB, but there is only one game that really matters, and that is the NCG, and we're not getting there with either QB. I wouldn't care in Barrett started, we're not winning with either of them, so lets at least see what we got, it's not like Urban is fighting for his job.Automatik;1562136 wrote:AND NEITHER DID YOU.

AutomatikThat is some terrible logic.

Doing what is best to try to win an NCG sooner rather than later is terrible logic?Automatik;1562140 wrote:That is some terrible logic. -

The defense was terrible, but it was on Withers and Coombs group. Fact of the matter is, if you have a QB that is the preseason Heisman favorite, you have to be able to put the ball in his hands and expect him to go down a win you the game. Didn't happen.ohiobucks1;1562142 wrote:FUUUUUU Fickell and Philly Brown. Ruinedm y night. fuckers I hate everyone -

DeyDurkie5also, fuck fickell. I hear Otterbien needs a defensive coach.

Pick6Not a doubt in my mind with Guiton we win that game tonight on the last drive. I'll leave it at that. Hate on the defense all you want, but they didn't turn the ball over 4 times and they stepped up when it mattered most.

#1DBag^^^Agree with this, the Clemson offense was gonna get some regardless. Was Carlos Hyde on the field during their final possession? This game is additional grist for the anti-B1G/Ohio State mill. ESPN forums are having a LOL-fest.

vball10setBrax playing hurt does not help us (even though he's a tough kid)--that's on Coach Meyer. Defense not adjusting to the bubble screen (all night long)--that's on Fickell. My head tells me 12-2 is a good season, but my heart tells me otherwise. 329 days until we play Navy in Baltimore. GO BUCKS!!!

Miller also contributed early with a couple of boneheaded plays, but I would agree that playing a hurt Miller late was on Meyer. I'm with Pick6 that if Guiton had played that last O-series there certainly wouldn't have been a "who the fuck were you throwing to?" pass from Miller.vball10set;1562161 wrote:Brax playing hurt does not help us (even though he's a tough kid)--that's on Coach Meyer. The D not adjusting to the bubble screen wasn't just a problem last night. It's been a problem all season and cost Ohio State a shot at the NCG.
Most seasons I would agree that 12-2 is a good year. But the way Ohio State ended this season only serves to give the Ohio State and B1G haters more ammunition to say "I told you so."
I'm looking forward to August 2014 too, but I can honestly say I do not have the same optimistic outlook going into 2014 as I did in 2013. -

The Buckeyes trailed 20-9 in the second quarter, scored 20 unanswered points and then frittered away the lead. The biggest play of the game came in the third quarter when Ohio State led 29-20. Brown attempted to field a punt with pressure bearing down on him and fumbled. Clemson scored on the ensuing possession and again on its next possession. In barely more than three minutes, the Tigers went from down nine to up by five. -
TiernanThey deserve to get the "I told ya so"... they played 3 legit games this year and lost 2 of them and needed a last second miracle to win the third. Bloom is off the rose Urbie.
