I thought he did watching live. Haven't watched a replay, and probably won't since it doesn't matter.Laley23;1590870 wrote:He did. He got the rebound, and I think it was Walton who was right there when he turned around. Craft jumped and moved the ball to the left as he started his dribble. It was a travel. -

5-7. Probably a 6. No way they're an 8.friendfromlowry;1590860 wrote:So where do you guys see OSU seeded in the tourney? 6-8 seed? -
Ironman92Replay....rebounded with big feet coming down, turned towards defender took a 3rd down and put ball down right before a 4th touched

Shit happens. Or craft is shit?centralbucksfan;1590873 wrote:In that situation, you take the best available shot you have. Craft had a decent shot. It slipped out. Shit happens. -
Ironman92I say 5 maybe 6....will be surprised by a 7
#6 seed will have a better shot of advancing deep IMO -

Its all about when the ball was released from his hand, not when it hit ground.Ironman92;1590880 wrote:Replay....rebounded with big feet coming down, turned towards defender took a 3rd down and put ball down right before a 4th touched
If you land in a jump stop, you can turn and release the ball with a foot starting (still have pivot foot down) and the ball is out just before the pivot foot is picked up. This is what USUALLY happens to all players when they start a dribble. Its second nature, so to speak.
What usually happens when you alter the beginning, like when a player is standing in your way that you didnt see, and what I think happened with Craft is that he came down in a jumpstop. When he went to dribble he then had to alter the ball to the left, which caused him to have to hold onto it slightly longer. The pivot foot was lifted, and essentially, he switched pivot feet. Which, is a travel lol.
But, he lost control anyway, so who cares.
Agreed. Ill guess a 6. B1G isnt that good, imo. But it has enough quality teams to really bolster a resume. No way is OSU an 8, especially with a solid finish like they had.Ironman92;1590883 wrote:I say 5 maybe 6....will be surprised by a 7

Don't even try to get people to say anything bad about Aaron Craft, it won't happen.SportsAndLady;1590881 wrote:Shit happens. Or craft is shit? -
Terry_TateAlso, think a 6 fits this team. Anywhere from 5 to 7 I could see. Kind of hoping for 7 with Villanova being the 2.

Id take OSU.Terry_Tate;1590888 wrote:Also, think a 6 fits this team. Anywhere from 5 to 7 I could see. Kind of hoping for 7 with Villanova being the 2.
Although, I might have them lose in RD1, but I would for sure take them over Nova. -

The problem is I would still probably have them lose round 1 as well, lol. Think Villanova is the one team that will be a top 3 seed that I think Ohio State could beat though.Laley23;1590890 wrote:Id take OSU.

Edit: Virginia would be the second option to me. -

I guess I just don't get it. People LOVE craft. He's a great defender and when surrounded by other great offensive players he can hold his own on the offensive side of the ball, but that's not this year. He's downright horrible on offense when he's a top offensive threat.Terry_Tate;1590887 wrote:Don't even try to get people to say anything bad about Aaron Craft, it won't happen.
And to your point, I say so many bad things about Kansas players lol why is it soooo horrible to say a bad thing about craft, an OSU player? Call a spade a spade -
Terry_TateI don't know man. Craft is a great human being and a phenomenal defender, and I think because he hustles and is a great person people love him more than normal, but he is freaking terrible offensively. He's an unreal defender, but as great as he is on defense he's that bad on offense. I know it's blasphemy but I won't miss watching him play for Ohio State even though I do love his defense. His offense just makes me want to throw my phone through the tv and I can't take it anymore, lol.

You like Shannon Scott, so your opinion is voided.Terry_Tate;1590894 wrote:I don't know man. Lol'd. Knew this was coming. This is somewhat valid, but doesn't change the fact that Aaron Craft is a terrible jump shooter and is not good at getting an offense going. I still think Shannon Scott is better all around than Aaron Craft just because Craft is so bad at getting an offense going and shooting the ball.Mulva;1590895 wrote:You like Shannon Scott, so your opinion is voided. -

Yeah....I know, still a travel.Laley23;1590886 wrote:Its all about when the ball was released from his hand, not when it hit ground.

Craft has a better 2, 3, and FT%, and a better assist/TO ratio.Terry_Tate;1590898 wrote:Lol'd. Knew this was coming. They are both terrible offensive players, though. -

Shannon Scott is awful bro. At least craft doesn't miss layups constantlyTerry_Tate;1590898 wrote:Lol'd. Knew this was coming. He does not miss anywhere near as many wide open layups as Scott. Not anywhere close.KB0938;1590937 wrote:He misses more than his fair share -

No but he shoots open 3's that miss the rim and land outside the laneLJ;1590940 wrote:He does not miss anywhere near as many wide open layups as Scott. Not anywhere close. -

The layup misses are insanely bad. I'd trust him taking a jump shot more than a contested layup. We'll find out next year how good Scott is when he's in control and playing 30+ MPG though.LJ;1590935 wrote:Shannon Scott is awful bro. At least craft doesn't miss layups constantly -
vball10setgood post from someone on 11W...
Couldn't watch live today, and despite knowing the outcome, just finished watching on DVR. Couple things stood out to me:
1.Wow, Michigan was lights out shooting the 3 ball. Especially in the 1st half. Extremely impressed OSU was able to come back after taking multiple punches in the gut, but that has been the memo all year..
2. Wow, Lenzelle was bad today. Did he make a 3? I know he didn't make any of the many wide open looks he had.
3. Shannon Scott was terrific. Would love to see him take some of that confidence into the NCAA tourney, and into his senior year next year.
4. Finally, and most importantly, the game was completely changed when an ice cold Craft came off the bench, and decided to become our first offensive option on almost every possession. I love the guy. He has had an incredible career, and he will be greatly missed, but he has to be smarter than that. He sat the bench for a while. Not that he was in any type of a groove before he went to the bench, but dang. I know he hit a big time shot for us last year in the NCAA, but still, I do not think him pulling up for an outside jumper is our best look to end a game. -
PrescottA few other things we learned.
1. Della Valle needs to get stronger. He is not strong enough to fight through double teams.
2.Craft has had a late tendency to think he can take over games at the end. He needs to forget about that.
3.Lenzelle Smith did not play like a senior in the B1G tournament. If his play was the result of the pressure of a one and done scenario, he better figure out a way to release the pressure.
4.Shannon Scott played the best game he has ever played at tOSU. Can the Buckeyes count on him in the tourney?
5.This team has resolve. To fight back from huge deficits while getting punched in the mouth over and over again is impressive.
6. Dan Dakich's son and Mitch McGary need to tone down their clown act.
