Baylor should drop to about 12th. But they won't.

Hope he's ok. Never seen the trainer reach underneath the jersey? He wasn't moving once they got there.

OSU doesn't belong above Baylor because of SOS /ESPN'd
  • ptown_trojans_1

Just for comparison purposes only and the comparison doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things...

The 6 teams Mississippi lost to are a combined....56-10 (overall FBS opponents are 74-36). 5 of those 10 losses came between 2 of the 6 teams MSU lost to. Utah's 7 losses are 54-24 and 77-34 for all games.

The combined records for the wins(vs FBS opponents) of the expected top 5 in the next BCS Poll.
    Bama, 50-61(10)
    FSU 54-56(10)
    Ohio State 51-60 (10)
    Auburn 9 wins are 52-47
    Clemson 8 wins are 41-47

We still have to beat Michigan at UM and THEN play Michigan State who's looking pretty darn good right now...

This ain't wrapped up yet fellas...

    I'd think that's understood.

Love how ESPN is already pushing the topic for Auburn to jump OSU if Auburn beats Bama.

    Biased much?

Yea that's pretty dumb. I think if Auburn beats Bama people could argue that OSU and Auburn are pretty even on the field but no way would they deserve to be ahead of them.

    Let's make some assumptions.

Let's assume Ohio State wins out (likely but make no mistake that Michigan State certainly has the tools to beat the Buckeyes). Let's also assume Florida State has a cakewalk the next 2 weeks. Pretty good assumption there.

Meantime Alabama has a very good shot at losing to Auburn next weekend and a somewhat less likely chance of losing the SEC championship game if Auburn loses. But let's hope for the best (but I wouldn't put money on it) and assume Auburn beats Alabama.

IF this plays out I do not know how any BCS voter can ignore at that point the fact that Ohio State has won 25 straight even if Auburn dominates Alabama. I would not be surprised if Auburn wins since they are playing at home. We can only hope.

Ohio State should - in that scenario - by all rights get a NC bid against Florida State.

Of course espn talking heads are saying that, they are protecting their investment!

I actually think FSU and OSU are the best two teams in the country. Alabama is not that good this year.

Wut? The only team to hang with Alabama this season was Texas A&M. The Tide has curb stomped everyone else.

Then where does this come from, and what the hell is its relevance CC?? WTF

What an awesome atmosphere here yesterday beating the crap out of Oregon. It was raining the entire weekend, and pouring in the morning for the tailgate, but right as the game started the sun came out a little bit, and we turned it on.

F*ck you Oregon for talking sh*t about the Rose Bowl. Bear Down!

Ya, it's not like any sub .500 teams were able to stay within 2 scores of Bama... oh wait.

Crazy, ain't it? Still, I'm worried as hell about Saturday--we have everything to gain and they have nothing to lose, and that's a bad combination, especially for THE GAME.

True, but an inconsistent Ohio State defense allowed the likes of Buffalo, Cal, Illinois, Iowa, and Northwestern to hang 20 or more points on the Buckeyes.

Sleeper's assertion that Ohio State is better than Alabama is - shall we say - a bit premature.

Exactly. I think OSU rolls but anything can happen in THE GAME (well it used to be THE GAME anyway). I always get nervous when the Buckeyes play in Ann Arbor.

    It's Sleeper.

I know OSU hasn't always been amazing. But honestly, I think at this point they've earned their chance to compete. Unfortunately to actually get the chance they need a bit of help.
