College Basketball Random Chatter 2013-2014 Season

Ironman92Refs just tossed Kevin Ollie after the ref just flat out completely blew a 3 shot foul (no call).....Ollie went nuts earning the technical but hurt feelz ref gave him a second technical and ejected him.
They call every touch foul and the Uconn guy pumped the Louisville player in the air....Louisville player bumps him pretty good on the way down.....nothing lol. Uconn even at home. -
Azubuike24Louisville sure is good when you're allowed to mug...
-
reclegend22Yeah, Kevin Ollie just went Mike Davis on the officiating crew (well not quite, as he never reached the full-on retard stage). Ollie had a legitimate claim, though, and I would've circled the court letting that arrogant bitch of a referee know my sentiments as well. That was a dick move by an official who thinks the game is about him.
-
Midstate01Yea I couldn't believe they didn't call the foul. Ollie probably deserved the first one because he went crazy (rightfully so), but the 2nd one was super quick. And unless the ref honestly believed there was no foul, he should have ate the whistle some. Was a terrible call.

Azubuike24I'm not one to usually just bash UL players for anything, but it's pretty difficult to like Luke Hancock. The guy is a major flopper and to boot, anyone see him take it coast to coast and dunk it with 10 seconds left and UL up 11 last night?
-
reclegend22I am one to just bash UL players for anything, and yeah I did see it. He's a punk bitch.

Azubuike24Hypothetical.
Wichita State goes 34-0. Nobody else has less than 2 losses. Are they the #1 overall seed? -
Crimson streak

Azubuike24I think so too, but on the main Rivals board and a few other team forums, the same discussion is going on and there are many who say 34-0 or not, they have zero chance at the #1 overall. IMO, that's crazy talk.
-
reclegend22Would they get it? Maybe. Should they? Probably not. Sure, the Shockers are coming off a Final Four run, but if any of Arizona, Syracuse or Michigan State has (hypothetically) just two losses, they deserve the number one overall seed.
Wichita State's most challenging non-conference opponents were DePaul, Saint Louis, Brigham Young, Tennessee and Alabama. Not exactly murderer's row. Their overall SOS is the 140s. There was a lot of disagreement regarding Gonzaga being in this same scenario last year, and the Bulldogs played a far superior schedule. I just don't buy into Wichita. Their current ranking is more a product of their schedule than anything. I do not see a repeat March performance in the cards. -
Azubuike24As of yesterday, their SOS is 87. It will fall a bit as the MVC plays out. Probably ends up around 100. They would greatly benefit by some of those teams (SLU and UT are the most capable) of having great seasons. Their RPI, right now, is 8th though. I don't see that falling much. They are probably a lock to end up with an RPI in the top 12 if they don't lose.
-
reclegend22Shit. I must've looked at the wrong ranking on that. Either way, I still don't view that hypothetical resume nearly as impressive as a two-loss Arizona, Syracuse or Michigan State. In that scenario, I think it would be hard to give Wichita State the top overall seed. If they get it, I won't be upset over it or really care. The NCAA Tournament will ultimately decide the proper order.

reclegend22Oregon about to lose its fourth straight game overall and fall to 1-4 in the Pac-12. As of right now, the Ducks look like an NIT team. For as good as their offense supposedly is, it really isn't that good. And they play no defense whatsoever. They are getting beat soundly to every spot on the floor by Oregon State tonight. Frankly, Oregon State is the better overall team. They're working the Ducks over.
Oregon is essentially an All-Star team comprised of a bunch of individuals who like to shoot. As their performance stands to date, I'd be shocked if they are able to do any better than squeak into the NCAAs as anything higher than an 11 seed. -
wildcats20Oregon literally plays zero defense. It's hard to watch.
-
Azubuike24It's very ironic considering they took their lumps early last season, vastly improved in conference play and got really hot late. They did it on the boards and with defense being a big part of it. People paid attention to the flash with the Freshman guards and athleticism, and only thought it would improve with Young coming in. They definitely miss Kazemi and Tony Woods. Those guys were both incredibly underrated, as you can see.
-
Azubuike24And EJ Singler too. Moser is all they really have. Dominic Artis does not look like the guy from last March.
-
reclegend22Ethan Wragge is 5-of-5 from three against Nova right now in the first three minutes. He hit the fifth three 15 feet behind the arc. Closest thing I've seen to the Tayshaun Prince Carolina game. Creighton is 7-of-7 from three overall and lead No. 4 21 to 5.
-
reclegend22Wragge just nailed two more triples. Creighton up 27 to 10 on all threes.
-
reclegend22Creighton is 11-of-13 from beyond the arc in the first 10 minutes. Never have seen a performance like this. They are unconscious.
-
SportsAndLadyHoly shit
-
SportsAndLadyEthan Wragge is 7/7 from 3's haha
-
Mulva#4 team in the country down 30 at home.
-
MulvaMake that 37.
-
reclegend22Creighton is 21 of 33 from three-point range. The most threes I'd ever seen live in a game prior to this was 19 by Duke against Monmouth in the '01 NCAAs. Just a remarkable display.
They straight up drained the fucking blood out of fourth-ranked Nova tonight on their own floor. Damn. -
Azubuike24Welcome to Big Monday and the big, bad Big East, Blue Jays!
