Ironman92For a decent portion in the game Wichita State looked like the best team in the country......and for a greater portion the refs were just the opposite.
How about seeing the foul and then calling it. My God the anticipation calls drive me nuts and the flailing of the legs on 3 pointers drawing 3 shots just kills me.
The refs assisted Wichita State gaining a nice lead in the first half and then kept OSU within reach in the 2nd. Free throws were 29-23 in favor of OSU with I think 6 of their 23 being fouls to stop the clock.
OSU's offense looked terrible. I think Louisville beats WSU by 15+......but I think WSU can beat Duke. -
KR1245I havent seen Thomas projected in the 1st in any mock draft, I wouldnt be that surprised if he decided to come back.
Craft and Scott need to be in the gym everyday working on their jumpers, they would be much more dangerous if either one of them could hit a perimeter shot. -
sportchamppsI think Thomas comes back because 2nd rounders get no guarantee. If Amir Wiliams can make a giant leap this could be a NC team next year.

And where did I compare OSU to Duke? I just thought it was hypocritical at best for a Duke fan to criticize another coach for yelling at refs.
Exactly, K yells at refs constantly with his hitler mustache. RR is a freaking moron. -

I'm a Duke fan but please stop. -
sportchamppsNo I picked Duke to beat MSU I just think Louisville is the best team and that's y I picked them before it started.

Terry_TateRoss says he's coming back, hopefully that stays true.
-
sportchamppsI think this was Matta best coaching job. The leaps that Q and Thompson made were huge this season.

robj55Craft and Scott need to be in the gym every day getting up atleast 1000 jumpers, they shoot the ball at a high school level and there is no excuse for it. That is what lost us the game, no respect for their jumpshots, and it allowed them to sag and pack the paint. We could be the best team in the country next year if they develop into consistent shooters. Craft would be an NBA player and one of the best PG's in the country too. Hope Thomas stays, he has a ton of work to do on his all around game. Q will score a ton next year, but I hope he can improve the rest of his game as well, he is a pretty good rebounder though.

He needs a little more seasoning so it is a good idea. But with such a weak draft, maybe he would shoot up the draft boards -
sportchamppsNext years team will win it all if Thomas returns and they get any kind of offensive production from the 5.

Exactly. That's what makes tonight's debacle hard to swallow. The Buckeyes are usually smarter than this.sportchampps;1417265 wrote:I think this was Matta best coaching job. The leaps that Q and Thompson made were huge this season. -

Makes me sick that Craft and Scott threw up 19 shots combined and Craft tried 5 3s(not counting last 2). What the fuck is that shit. 19 shots, or 17 not counting the garbage 2 at the end. Both of them need to get their shot together. -

I think it all finally clicked for Ross. He is going to be an absolute monster next year and this is coming from a non osu fan. -

False. Didn't you read....it is a fact that matta will never win one....Lol -

It was the whole team in the first half. We fell in love with jump shots after our success from 3 in the previous two games. Matta needed to call a time out and get them out of that early in the 1st half.Terry_Tate;1417271 wrote:Makes me sick that Craft and Scott threw up 19 shots combined and Craft tried 5 3s(not counting last 2). Agree with all of that pretty much. Q will be a fucking boss next year. -

It reminds me of watching teams guard Rondo, give him space and make him beat you. -

It will be a battle between Ohio st. Kentucky and North Carolina if they get wiggins. Duke and possibly Arizona could be in the mix too -
The AnswerThad Matta might have had his best coaching job he has ever had this year. Lets face it most of us thought this team would be lucky to make it out of the first round at midseason. He got them to 1 game of winning a regular season title, won the big 10 tourney and got to the elite 8. It's not his fault they couldnt make a shot for 35 minutes. Tough way to end but blaming Matta is pathetic.
-
sportchamppsYeah Ross still needs to improve on D and be more aggressive rebounding and he will be a stud. Thomas needs to keep working on his d which has been improving every year.

The way hall was commanding the paint it seemed Ohio st was tentative on taking it inside. Hall played an absolute monster game on defense -
MulvaRoss would be crazy not to come back in my opinion. His stock can definitely go up with a full good season.
Thomas is what he is. Great scorer, terrible defender, tweener and not very athletic (relatively speaking). He's never going to be more than a fringe first rounder, so I really don't see a reason for him to come back, unfortunately. -

I agree. Before the Indiana win I thought Ohio st would be a first rd exit. What he did with this team was phenomenal
