I have 12 left, and all the final 4, and still no better than 11th in any pool I am in.

The tournament is great, your picks on the other hand.... lol, you're not the only one though.

Yeah. Temple, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Butler and UNLV all had leads late in the second half, which makes it even worse.

My Saint Louis, VCU and Georgetown picks are laughable, however, in retrospect. Why John Thompson still has a job today is beyond illogical. He is one of the worst major program coaches in tournament history based on how many double-digit seeds he has lost, and in a row. Five. He is there because of his father and the family legacy. Unfortunate for Hoya fans.

    1. I was more surprised by Wisky's pathetic performance than I was with Gonzaga's loss.

    2. How did FGCU lose to Lipscomp(12-18) twice?

3.I think Arizona deserved the #3 seed in the West and New Mexico deserved the #6 seed.

4.When does JT III get the heat he deserves. Georgetown has lost to a double digit seed 5 years in a row.

5.The Pac 12 didn't get the respect they deserved.

    6. Michigan's performance against VCU was the most impressive performance of the weekend.

    7. Brandon Paul did all he could. What a great performance.

    8. Why isn't Khaliff Wyatt in the discussion for POY?

9.Was St.Louis the most over-seeded team in the tournament?

10.Cody Zeller is not impressing the NBA scouts with his work around the basket.

11.How good would Michigan State be with Korey Lucious?

12.I love Fred Hoiberg's basketball philosophy.

13.Ohio State got a call usually reserved for the blue-bloods of the game.

13.Marquette is embracing the "Survive and Advance" philosophy.

14.Roy Williams doesn't want to see Kansas in UNC's bracket ever again.

15.Would Josh Pastner be a good fit for UCLA?

I can't wait to hear your tournament analysis after MSU blows Duke off the court. I can't wait for a long post of excuses and to hear the story of how you happened to wake up one day and become a basketball only fan of a small private school in North Carolina. Do tell.

My story of how I became a bandwagon fan is that Duke was on TV all the time and I went to basketball camp there. Hope it was a good read.

So what team will you root for once they start sloshing around at the bottom of the ACC?

I'll probably just watch the Lakers or Celtics, whichever has a better win/loss record.

Ftr, in case anyone cares (I probably think way to highly I myself...lol), I am in Florida till Saturday night. As some know I missed the whole IU game as I was in the air. Glad I see they won, and I didn't real this whole thread but did watch the game on dvr pretty fast. Knowing the results I didn't even take it off FF for stretches.

Anyway, if anyone was looking, I'm not gonna read the thread so I won't be responding.

Awesome game of OSU though. Saw the Craft 3 right before I boarded

Im just sometimes amazed how unphysical iu is at times. Temple pushed them around and zeller doesnt seem to like physical play. But with the guys they have, id think theyd love physical play. I guess outside of zeller and the pg. Why I cant think of his name at the moment is beyond me.

    4. I'll never pick a team coached by any of the following coaches in an NCAA tournament toss-up game ever again: Frank Haith, Steve Alford, Bruce Weber, Frank Haith, Bo Ryan, John Thompson III, Frank Haith, Jamie Dixon, Frank Haith, Mark Few, Frank Haith, and Roy Williams if he's playing Kansas. Oh, and Frank Haith. Don't forget about him.
    Titus is great

I also was surprised with how easily Temple's Anthony Lee and Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson controlled the paint. They just bumped Zeller right out of the way most of the game on the defensive end and got every loose rebound it seemed. The Owls did a great job of forcing the tempo early and taking Indiana out of their running game. It was a physical game, and you got the feeling that IU wanted no part of it.

But the team that won should have. The Hoosiers closed the deal. Temple, as well as it played for 38 minutes, did not. I thought it was interesting, though, that Tom Crean reportedly stopped Khalif Wyatt and Temple coach Fran Dunphy afterward and told them that Temple was on par with any team IU had faced in the Big Ten. Class gesture.

Nevermind, I see his wife's purse hanging from her arm. Lol. I'm dumb.

Good thing for Indiana, I think Zeller needs to stay his 4 years. No way can he play in the NBA right now. He has no post game, and really only excels when Indiana can get out and run. I think him going pro after this year would be a big mistake.

The issue many guys will face this year is...

Going pro after NEXT YEAR will put these guys against possibly the top 8 picks being one-and-done Freshman, and possibly the best HS class in a decade.

If you're a wing or a PF, you're literally have zero chance at going in the top 5-8. Not only is your game already exposed, but you're a Junior and on the wrong side of the "age factor."

This is why I think guys like Deshaun Thomas, Glenn Robinson III, Victor Oladipo, James McAdoo and Alex Poythress would be crazy to return to school. None would be even close to having stock higher than Parker, Randle, Wiggins, James Young or Noah Vonleh. They might be better players and could elevate their status in the same range, but it seems the younger you are, the more valuable you are.

I think Thomas and Oladipo have to go. I think Robinson can play himself into a top 10 pick by returning. I don't know much about McAdoo and Poythress, but what I have seen from McAdoo, he isn't ready to play in the NBA. Poythress I haven't seen hardly any of him, so I can't really say.

All of those guys are probably top 10-20 picks right now. So, do you take the top 20 guarantee, or wait a year and open it up to many possibilities? Normally, I'd say wait, but not when the top 3 (and possibly 6) are completely out of the question. I mean, barring an injury, Randle, Wiggins and Parker are going to go top 5. All are pretty much can't miss.

It will be an interesting choice to make considering how weak this draft appears to be. There still has to be a first round, and the salaries are scaled regardless. I think you will see some serious "WTF" early entries this year.
