2013 NCAA Tournament Thread

My West region is already trashed. I had Boise last night and Pitt to the Elite 8. Idiot.

That'd be my biggest "upset" in years. A 14 over a 3. Although, Marquette isn't actually as good as their seed. They are more like an 8 or 9 in terms of true talent.
IMO, the BE got too much love. Marquette should be lower, Pitt was never gonna win that match-up, they are not that good.

Louisville is legit. ND I dont think deserved a 7. Cuse is probably seeded about right, but I dont think they have the ability to make a great run (they will now beat Indiana, no doubt).

And Nova was a bubble team in February and ended up in an 8/9 game??? Get out of here.

You're right. I just thought Pitt was better than Wichita State, good enough to make Gonzaga choke on their #1 seed, and would have enough momentum to get one more before losing to New Mexico. Guess I over thought it.

This Memphis looks like the Memphis of old (though not as good of shooters). MSU will be in for a dogfight if Memphis holds on, and from the looks, Saint Mary's has no shot of a comeback versus these athletes.

lol, solid rationale. I watched quite a bit of MVC basketball this year. Wichita State is a tough team with depth, just better than Pitt in all aspects. In fact, I think they have the ability to be more of a threat than Creighton, just because of how physical they play and they can beat you in a slow down game, transition game, inside or out...

I agree with pretty much all of that. Nova got in and got a bit of a higher seed I think simply due to the fact that their big wins -- three over top five teams in the AP -- are fairly impressive. They also won on the road at UConn in convincing fashion. They benefited from the same higher seeding that Wisconsin did IMO for beating so many top ten teams. The Badgers have 11 losses. A five seed seems generous. And I think Wisconsin.

I would not attend a Beau Levesque shooting clinic.

I meant, "And I like Wisconsin."

I know. I shouldnt have said anything. It will be tough though. Memphis isnt giving up anything easy.

Big swing there with Dellavedova missing the front end of the 1-and-1, then Jackson hitting the 3.

Memphis is a good team, but I think MSU is a horrible matchup for them. They're going to have an awful time scoring (assuming they hang on in this game) as long as Sparty takes care of the ball.

I blame you if this happens.

Lol that Memphis player caught that ball

    that was impressive

    Oregon's cheerleaders are fit.

    Sure do

Yep. Memphis is just too big, quick and strong for SMU. It is a rather close margin, but really, never in doubt.

Not really, that is USC and the sweatermittens.

    Idea.

Bet the under in every damn NCAA game.

    Nobody can score...

I eluded to that on another thread. Always take the under when its an NBA/Dome/Not a college arena. Guys really struggle to shoot in those.

    Valpo 54
    NMSU 44
    Pitt 55
    Bucknell 56

    Memphis/St. Mary's both under 60
Davidson/Marquette both on pace for the 50's

    It's insane.
  • gorocks99
Southern hanging with Gonzaga through the first 6 minutes...
  • gorocks99
And Memphis looks like they could blow this one.
  • Azubuike24
Memphis can't hit foul shots. Something to watch moving forward.
  • Laley23
Odd becuase Thomas is 78% and Jackson is 74%. They are 4/7 combined and 2/4 in the last two trips.
