GOONx19Another Butler game down to the wire. Love this.

Butler hasn't adjusted very well to that fact. Pretty surprising.Crimson streak;1410937 wrote:Willman can't miss -
Azubuike24Butler has gone cold and they are struggling athletically on defense. There is a reason Rotnei Clarke is in the A-10, and it's not his offense. He's very limited defensively and as a ball handler. It's not over though the way Butler can shoot. Where is Kellen Dunham? He should be able to get looks with Smith inside and Clarke being challenged so heavily.

Big_Mirg_ZHSdamn this will be one of my earliest bracket shreds if butler goes down...

That and i get bucknell games where I live so I've watched quite a few of their games. They are giving him his right hand and its his dominate hand, freaking use it lol -
MulvaRotnei with the dagger.
-
se-alumButler has scored as many points in the last 14 minutes as they did in the first 25 minutes.
-
MulvaBhullar for NMSU is so freaking huge.
-
mhs95_06Bucknell's one 21-5 run over 7.5 minutes, which took them from down 10 to up 6, was not enough! Up to the 2:13 left mark, when they were hopelessly down 42-53, they had only scored a matching 21 points in 30 minutes, 4 times the amount of time for which they took over the game. Just shows what Fred Taylor used to say: Basketball is a game of runs.

se-alumMy brackets are still perfect!!

Fly4FunUgh, Pitt struggling mightily today. This would be my first wrong pick, but nothing too damaging.

reclegend22Butler winning a tight one in the first round is not alarming for anyone who picked the Bulldogs to go deep this year. Quite to the contrary, actually. In 2010, Butler beat Murray State by two points in the second round on the way to the national title game. In 2011, Butler won its first two games of the tournament over Old Dominion and Pitt by a combined three points, needing a buzzer beater to escape the first round.
This is the way Butler plays. -
se-alumPitt getting worked, fortunately I only had them winning this game.

Butler winning a tight one in the NCAAs makes me feel like all is right in the world. -
reclegend22Should have known better than to take Jamie Dixon. He is a nothing to me. He's also somebody I can't stand looking at. Just a really annoying person. I might like him better if his team actually performed well in the post-season or wasn't as boring as watching a bowling match.

Agreed. I feel great about my Butler to the Sweet 16 pick. Especially considering Butler already has a win over an average Marquette team and the fact that 14 Davidson can win that game.SportsAndLady;1411005 wrote:Butler winning a tight one in the NCAAs makes me feel like all is right in the world.
While I picked Miami to reach the title game and Temple to knock off Indiana, a Butler-Indiana Elite Eight rematch would be awesome. IU would win, but it'd be a classic. -
MulvaA Davidson win would be nice for my multiplier pool.
-
reclegend22I have Davidson in my bracket as well. I really hope they pull it out. I think a Bob McKillop vs. Brad Stevens matchup would be an absolute chess match. These guys are two of the best that have ever done it at the small-school level.
That'd be my biggest "upset" in years. A 14 over a 3. Although, Marquette isn't actually as good as their seed. They are more like an 8 or 9 in terms of true talent. -
Fly4FunSo the first "upset" is a Big East team getting bounced, although an 8/9 game is hardly an upset.
But with Marquette struggling with Davidson, could this be a trend?
