Notre Dame 2013
-
Devils AdvocateRepeat from earlier:
I bet ND wants a mulligan for 2013. -
Tiger2003Kyle Allen will be picking his school in about 19 minutes.
-
Tiger2003Sounds like TAMU
-
Crimson streakDamn I thought ND had a great shot at him. Him announcing now isn't good for the Irish
-
Tiger2003And it confirmed Allen to TAMU.
-
Crimson streakLooks like ND will go after Toledo central catholic qb kizer. He's been looking for an offer from ND and OSU. He might get one from both now

Both will offer here real soon. -
Midstate01Not sure it'll matter though. He seems to be really infatuated with LSU. Never know though. He's wanted the offers for a long time.

He wants to stay close to home if ND and OSU offer he will be at one if those schools. -
vball10set
He is, but his 'rents are not. If he gets an offer from ND and/or OSU, look for these to be his frontrunners.Midstate01;1452050 wrote:Not sure it'll matter though. He seems to be really infatuated with LSU. Never know though. He's wanted the offers for a long time. -

Distance from home will be a factor, if either of ND or OSU offers, I'd guess he'll commit to them, if both offer it will be a longer drawn out battle. -
Midstate01Could be true. He reallllly seems to like lsu though. But until the other 2 offer, then I suppose he has no reason not to be that way.
-
karen lotzND has supposedly lifted the recruiting ban on Vanderdoes and he will go to UCLA. Hasn't been released from his LOI yet but the family thinks it will happen. Dumb.
-
vball10setWill he have to sit a year, or will he be eligible to play this season? If it's the latter, then something has to change. It's just not right.
-
karen lotzHas to sit a year and will lose a year of eligibility as it stands now. The family hopes that once he officially begins class at UCLA and not Southern Cal, ND will release him from his LOI which would let him be eligible to compete this season. I seriously doubt Kelly/ND will do that.
-
karen lotzNotre Dame says it will not release him from the LOI and will release a statement on it later today. Good.

Apparently there s some bad blood between Kelly and Mora over this whole situation. No way he's getting released from his LOI. -
karen lotzBK's statement...
"Eddie Vanderdoes will not be attending the University of Notre Dame. We did not release him from his national letter of intent in order to protect the integrity of that very important program, but we have worked with the Vanderdoes family so that Eddie can continue his education this fall at a school closer to his home. We understand Eddie’s interest in remaining closer to his family and wish him well." -

Rightly so. I wonder if UCLA will be investigated to find out if there was any tampering involved.karen lotz;1452473 wrote:Notre Dame says it will not release him from the LOI and will release a statement on it later today. Good. -
vball10setDo I understand it correctly that he loses a year of eligibility as well?

Yes. Basically it's like he transferred from ND. -
vball10setWow. I guess he really should have thought it through before he signed that LOI, and hopefully future recruits will learn from this.

His personal trainer was a former player and coached with his main recruiter at ucla. Sounds pretty sketchy if you ask me -
Tiger2003Notre Dame just offered DeShone Kizer.
