Could the MAC Champion get a BCS bid?

Check 3b in my link on the opening post and it tells you all you need to know. (Kent would be ranked higher than the Big East champ). -

Notre Dame is a non-AQ. They should play by the same fucking rules as all of the other non-AQ's. -

Mostly agree.
Removing this clause would force them to stop pussyfooting around and join a conference -

You aren't top 16 if you lose to Kentucky -

How can you "mostly agree"?jordo212000;1328139 wrote:Mostly agree.

Notre Dame is NOT in one of the 6 auto bid leagues right? Therefore they are a NON-AQ. Just like Kent State, just like Hawaii, just like Boise was.
Play by the same rules. -

I know. I think they should be in a conference.
However, like it or not, they are different than Kent State or Hawaii. -

Which is even more of a disgrace than the BCS has been in certain cases.jordo212000;1328145 wrote:I know. I think they should be in a conference.

Your right I forgot they changed that last year I believe -
Azubuike24Hey Pick6...see my other BCS predictions post. I take it back...I think it IS possible that Kent State gets in. Here's what HAS to happen, IMO.
Oklahoma loses at TCU.
Boise State loses to Nevada.
Kent State beats Northern Illinois.
Clemson take a bigger plunge than expected in the computer and human polls. They, unfortunately, would be the other team in the mix with Boise State and Kent State for bids... -
dlazzKent State won't beat UNI though, so it's a moot point.

Pick6No chance huh .

ts1227Looks like the BCS has them doing everything in their power to choose their Big East replacement, as Boise is at 15 in the Coaches (the one that matters), but only 25 in the AP.
Kent and NIU are 18/19 in each poll (Kent 18 in AP, NIU 18 in Coaches)
Considering Boise jumped 7 spots on a bye, and NIU jumped 5 spots actually playing and winning (Kent jumped 6), it seems that their goal was to do anything to get Boise to 16. -
jordo212000I told you that there was no way people would allow Kent St. get to that spot

Notre Dame itself is an AQ there buddy. That's why Swarbrick meets with the BCS along with the other commish's as wellwildcats20;1328143 wrote:How can you "mostly agree"?

Pick6Going to change thread title to MAC champion instead of Kent State. Didnt realize NIU would make that big of a jump.
I think it will happen unless Boise St wins.
What about this scenario....Nebraska loses to Wisconsin, they will probably drop below the MAC champion. Also assuming Boise wins. That could possibly make 2 non-AQs in the top 16, ranked higher than 2 conference champions (Big East and Big 10). Not sure if more than one non-AQ can get an AUTO bid or not, though. Would be crazy. -

Do you see the huge amount of pathetic irony here? That's like a Chinese guy in the 19th century being considered more than 3/5ths of a person, and all of the whites say "hey come one play by the same rules!"wildcats20;1328143 wrote:How can you "mostly agree"?

If they PLAYED BY THE SAME RULES there wouldn't be non-AQ's in the first fucking place. But the system isn't meant to be fair (unfortunately), money speaks and Notre Dame has as much as anybody. When other non-AQs have the ratings Notre Dame does, they'll get the perks too. -
swooshLatest polls have KS at 18. No BCS bowl here. Now maybe if you can hang with Kentucky, it's a different story.

I disagree. Maybe if ND played a schedule that was comparable to non-AQ's you'd have a point, but their schedule is the same quality as anyone from an AQ conference and lightyears better than the schedules of non-AQ's.wildcats20;1328134 wrote:

BCS conferences should stop inviting Swarbrick to the meetings then. They are included for a reason. -
Azubuike24With the latest projections, there is still an outside shot. Albeit a low one, it's possible if the right outcomes follow.

I don't think that'll help much. -

If Boise loses AND UCLA or Nebraska loses, I dont see how the conference champion wont be top 16.swoosh;1328895 wrote:I don't think that'll help much.
