They didn't grant him a TO. Regardless of what he was asking for. The refs blew the play dead for the review. You can call for a timeout all you want, but it has to be granted. They didn't grant him a TO.
Because they already blew it dead!! Meaning the player was on the floor during a stoppage in play no matter what. They were either getting the TO, as ISU was CLEARLY trying to do, or the refs blew it dead for review. ISU didn't line up to inbound the ball in ANY WAY.

Yes it was stupid, but he wasn't on the floor during live play. Move on.

My question is why did the clock automatically stop in that situation, when in some situations it will continue to run after a made basket?

This. And about all of them were on Lenzelle.

    Called a timeout.

Bitter much? You lost to Robert Morris.
    Uh, yeah NO.

ISU was calling TO AND the im guessing the refs wanted to check to make sure it was a 3

Crazy unlucky not to go OT. Didn't grab that rebound and Craft making that shot.
Matta is a helluva a recruiter....in game coach...not so much.

I'm not going to argue with you sleeper, wildcats20 has already made the point. A timeout was not granted. ISU ended taking one, but check their timeouts before and after the stoppage.

I'm also not really advocating that the refs call that there.

It stops after a score under 1 minute or 2 minutes or something.

Not in the final minute of regulation. It stops after every made basket.

They were calling Timeout, but the refs blew it dead to look at the play. He was on the floor during a stoppage in play. Move on.

Doesn't matter of they called a to or not. Aftef the shot thr ref by the scores tabke immediately puts his hand up and blows his whistle to review the shot. The play was dead.

Enjoy the great day of basketball folks. Yesterday sucked.
It's okay to talk about a part of the game after the game is over..this is a message board. Just don't read the thread.

Haha. UNC or KU has to lose today. That's good. One has to win though...that's bad.

He was on the floor before they blew the play dead. The ball was barely through the net when he started running onto the floor. It's not hard to see if everyone takes off the blinders.

Agreed. The rule is the clock stops when a timeout is issued. Bitter much? I guess you'll be rooting for OSU once football rolls around.

The clock stops on a made basket in the last minute of the 2nd half. Has NOTHING to do with a timeout.

Games on at 5:15. Once they lose, OSU spring game is on in April.

We ALL agree he was out to early. But not as far as uklover is saying. And the official is clearly calling the ball dead to review.
