Ohio State Buckeyes Thread
-
bigdaddy2003I just can't get interested in the Bucks this season. The last 6-7 years I've made sure to never miss a game that was televised but I don't care that much this year.
I thought it was wild that Penn State is 0-8 in the Big Ten but 8-12 overall now. Ha -
sleeperThe Buckeyes just aren't very good. I mean, we aren't bad, but we're not going to be competing for anything this year. Our best player is just a chuck machine and we have no second scoring option. Outside of Craft, the defense is average.
The one positive outlook is that Thompson and Shannon Scott are incredible athletes. The other positive outlook is none of these guys are going pro, no not even Thomas. Next year, hopefully we can get it together and get Matta his much deserved National Title.
The negative outlook is that our recruiting is trash for next year and the year after. Fuck. -
PrescottThis a good win and had some positives. It isn't easy to win road games in any league, even if the opponent is 0-8 in the league. OSU put points on the board without much help from Thomas. Offense is as much about confidence as it is skill and hopefully Thompson and Scott got a little more confident today. Trey McDonald even contributed.Matta must convince his team that must keep working because no team has separated itself from the field.
OSU's defense was suffocating at times. PSU had a long stretch in the first half where they did not score a basket. Yes, PSU is bad, but OSU's defense had something to do with that as well.
A win is a win. -
vball10setThomas will turn pro. Book it.

PrescottThomas will not be a lottery pick. He is a tweener. He lacks the size and strength to defend power forwards and he doesn't have the lateral quickness needed to defend a shooting forward.
-
Terry_TateThomas probably won't be a lottery pick, but whoever gets him will be extremely happy. He can score from anywhere and rebounds very well. Honestly I think he will be one of the 5-10 best players in this class.
-
Laley23Im taking him in the top 10 if I am a team. Best scorer in the class. If Anyone who gets him after 10 is getting a steal.
Tweener is whatever. When you are THE BEST at something, you will excel. -

100% agree. -
Classyposter58Well OSU will get Marc Loving from Toledo next year, who basically is another Otto Porter. Also they also may get Andrew Wiggins who is the #1 overall player, and have signed Kameron Williams who is an absolute scorer. I think we need at least one more guy though

There's basically a 0% chance of getting Wiggins. If they could have gotten him though they could be unreal next year. -

You think so? I doubt he goes to Kentucky considering how loaded they already are and he could step into OSU and be an instant starTerry_Tate;1375579 wrote:There's basically a 0% chance of getting Wiggins. If they could have gotten him though they could be unreal next year. -

He's between UK, Kansas, North Carolina, and Florida State and won't be taking a visit to Ohio State. I had hope for it for awhile but that's all gone now, haha. -
Laley23Lol at Wiggins to OSU. ClassyPoster, how close do you follow recruiting. OSU isnt even getting a visit and he doesnt even list them as a possibility.

I wouldn't hate on a franchise that has won 11 championshipsvball10set;1375636 wrote:He's a Red Wings fan, whaddya' expect? -
Prescott
You may be right. Unfortunately for Thomas you are not a GM. They see him differently and unless he leads OSU deep into the tournament I would doubt that his draft status changes.Laley23;1375528 wrote:Im taking him in the top 10 if I am a team. vball10setAmir Williams, weakest set of hands in the B1G, bar none.
-
Tiger2003Fucking Wisconsin in those big ass ugly white guys shooting 3's.
-
vball10setOther than Craft, I really don't enjoy watching the Buckeyes as much this season. I'm still behind them 100%, but IMO, we're just not very good.
-
Midstate01Wisconsin makes me want to cut myself. They are worse then northwestern with their boring play
-
Fly4FunOSU looked better there towards the end of the half. Should be tied going into half-time but that goal tending call was bogus.
