vball10setunfuckingreal, Scott, wtf what were you thinking!?!?
-
KR1245Terrible shot
This team is going to need somebody else to step up on the offenisve end. -
MulvaWhy was the ball in Scott's hands to begin with? He's a horrible shooter.

Other than Thomas, they all are. Absolutely pathetic way to end it.Mulva;1370029 wrote:Why was the ball in Scott's hands to begin with? He's a horrible shooter. -

Yeah, maybe I should rephrase my question to why wasn't the ball in DeShaun's hands. There's no excuse for him not to have that shot, especially on a night where he's hit 6 from deep.vball10set;1370031 wrote:Other than Thomas, they all are. Absolutely pathetic way to end it. -
Pick6I assume they had a play set up to get the ball to Thomas, Scott just panicked and threw the ball up, thinking there was less time than there was. Still unexcusable.
-
KR1245Deshaun was trailing the play, you need to find him in that situation.
Scott panicked and chucked up a horrible shot -
KR1245Ross needs to step up, this teams another guy that can put the ball in the basket and he's probably the best option
-

I just don't think he's all that good. Can't create his own shot at all.KR1245;1370039 wrote:Ross needs to step up, this teams another guy that can put the ball in the basket and he's probably the best option -
PrescottCan't create his own shot at all.
He had good take today. I thought he played reasinably the first half and did not get the opportunity to play the 2nd half. He has flaws, but he can put the ball in the basket. -

He's shooting under 30% from 3 and he's never scored double-digits against a decent team. I'm underwhelmed.Prescott;1370079 wrote:Can't create his own shot at all.

vball10setIMO, Ross, Williams and Ravenel are MAC level players at best. Craft, Thomas, Scott, Thompson and Smith,Jr. are B1G caliber players, but have yet to show the consistency needed to make a run in March. We've got Iowa, Penn State, Wisky and Nebraska next, so we have a good chance of going at least 3-1 over that stretch before we head north. Hopefully.

Classyposter58Sorry I couldn't bring home a win today folks, that game was awesome though and the crowd was absolutely nuts. I mean it exploded for every single MSU point, wish we could've won. DT played well enough to win it for us

He's never scored double digits against a decent team because he doesn't get the chance to. He had 9 points in 11 minutes against Duke, then sat out the entire second half if memory serves me right. If he played 30 minutes a game he would be at least a 15 ppg scorer IMO. He has his bad moments but he's somebody that I think will have to be a major key if this team is going anywhere in March. Scott and Craft are both horrible shooters so they need someone else like Ross out there to take the burden off them. Scott is a great facilitator so think its natural to have Ross in with him. They flowed pretty well In the first half against Purdue, then Ross sits the entire second half again I believe.
Still think the best 5 is Scott-Craft-Ross-Thomas and either Rav or Williams. 2 great guard defenders, great facilitator, and 2 great scorers, plus the leader of the team in Craft. I'd breakdown minutes roughly like this:
Scott - 30 minutes
Craft - 32 minutes
Ross - 25 minutes
Thomas - 37 minutes
Williams - 20 minutes
Ravenel - 20 minutes
Smith - 20 minutes
Thompson - 16 minutes -
PrescottHe's never scored double digits against a decent team because he doesn't get the chance to.
Yep. -
vball10setWilliams and Ravenel were abyssmal, thus making any inside presence at all a non-factor. IMO, this was the key to the game.
-
Heretic
Yeah, if there's one team you NEED an inside presence against, it's MSU, since they tend to be very aggressive with really large men in the post. When you have guys like Nix and Payne pounding in the paint, you at least need to be able to hold your own to SOME degree.vball10set;1370232 wrote:Williams and Ravenel were abyssmal, thus making any inside presence at all a non-factor. se-alumRoss showing why he can't be trusted in crunch time. Unpressured, standing still, dribbles the ball off his foot and right to the defender.
-
vball10setIf there's such a thing as a bad win, that was it-but I'll take it.
-
PrescottWorst officiated OSU game since the game in Bloomington last year.
That being said, this team will not survive in the Big 10 if they turn the ball over at the same rate they did tonight. -
Hb31187Ross a,MAC level player? O.o? Imo if he.gets solid minutes he'd produce nicely, his minutes are sporadic though.
At one point wasn't he the #1 rated hs prospect in his class? ( soph or Jr year I thought) -

He should get 'solid minutes' only after he learns to do more than shoot. He just appears lost on the court..ala Amir Williams.Hb31187;1372505 wrote:Ross a,MAC level player? O.o? Imo if he.gets solid minutes he'd produce nicely, his minutes are sporadic though.

I wanted Ross to get more earlier the year, then when he did he sucked it up.wkfan;1372702 wrote:He should get 'solid minutes' only after he learns to do more than shoot. He just appears lost on the court..ala Amir Williams.
I don't like this team, they frustrate the hell out of me. -
sleeperI don't think this team is good enough to make a deep run in the B1G, much less the tournament in March. I just don't see any other offensive weapon besides Thomas, who is a chuck machine.
