He sucks.
I am so disappointed in his lack of production and progression. -

The Butler game solidified my belief that UNC is heading to the NIT. The first four games of the ACC will tell the tale.Laley23;1347593 wrote:...and McAdoo is hurting. UNC might be worse than we all thought. -

I've seen all I need to see. Even when they made a comeback in the 2nd half tonight, they made moronic mistakes that killed their momentum. They have no basketball IQ, they're talented but not showing it, and Roy is doing a horrendous job. What the fuck is Desmond Hubert doing in the game down the stretch? Why is Tokoto on the floor instead of Hairston when the Heels need some threes late in the game? This team is headed to the NIT unless they make some magical improvements over the next few weeks.reclegend22;1347595 wrote:The Butler game solidified my belief that UNC is heading to the NIT. I really am surprised that Roy Williams is letting this happen again. I'm not trying to pile on, either. I'm legitimately taken aback that Carolina could be headed to a second NIT in four years. Roy Williams is a HOF'er and there is talent there. Puzzling.ironman02;1347614 wrote:I've seen all I need to see. ironman02Carolina has played two good teams this year. Indiana ran them straight out of Bloomington, Butler whipped their ass for 3/4 of the game in Maui, and then they just lost to a mediocre Texas team without Kabongo and Hurd. UNLV will probably come to Chapel Hill and win, so that's 9-4 in OOC games (provided they do beat McNeese State). They're not gonna do enough in ACC play to get into the NCAAs. They'll lose to the few good teams in the conference, probably lose a few to the others as well, and have absolutely no quality wins. I absolutely hate this. I love Roy Williams...he's a hall of famer, and has brought two national titles to UNC since he came home, but this shit has to stop. Going to the NIT every few years doesn't cut it.

wildcats20This team(albeit not really good) has absolutely NO business losing to Texas. ESPECIALLY without Myck. The are bad.
-
SportsAndLadySaw some tweets saying they're reading UNC forums and fans are saying Roy's lost it this season. What the hell is going on in Chapel Hill?
Also..Kabongo is done for the season (suspension), looks like....Tejas is toast -

Just a typical meltdown after a bad loss.SportsAndLady;1347637 wrote:Saw some tweets saying they're reading UNC forums and fans are saying Roy's lost it this season. What the hell is going on in Chapel Hill?
But maybe Roy has lost it. His health hasn't been good this past off-season, and he's been struggling on the recruiting trail recently. He might not be feeling well, and it might be carrying over into basketball. I didn't expect this team to be anything better than a Sweet 16 type of team, but I sure as hell didn't think they'd be an NIT team. -
Pick6So where does Parker go? Not "in the know" for bball recruiting, but my guess is Duke.
-
gorocks99Parker is headed to Duke

reclegend22When Coach K targets a Chicago recruit, he gets them. Perfect so far on several offers to several big time Chicago-land recruits, including Corey Maggette, Jon Scheyer and now Jabari Parker. Duke did not offer guys like Antoine Walker and Derrick Rose.
Good to be Duke. The Blue Devils just became the pre-season favorite for next year. UK will be right there, and probably given that title by some outlets, but Duke will not only combine a dynamite freshmen class but also return several stars including Rasheed Sulaimon, Rodney Hood, Quinn Cook and Andre Dawkins. -

I respectfully disagree. I think he's a two-year guy. He's a smart kid and, while this year's team has a chance to win a national title, next year's team could be better. Sulaimon won't want to miss out on that kind of once-a-decade team. When I say once a decade, I mean it could possibly be Duke's best team since the '01 title team.Red Rider Nation;1348218 wrote:Sulaimon is one and done! He won't be back next year -

But he knows people in the program! -

Even if he does know Coach K or the Blue Devil, I think they lied to him. While I am confident that Sulaimon could get drafted this summer, it wouldn't be anywhere near the top of the first round. After another year, he could go lottery. Like I said, Rasheed appears to be a really bright kid, a real coachable kid with a strong desire to get better. I think he'll come back to learn what he can for another year under one of the greatest ever.wildcats20;1348240 wrote:But he knows people in the program! -

Laley23If Rasheed Sulaimon leaves, it will be tough for Duke to be pre-season favorites. Losing Plumlee, Curry, Kelly and Rasheed will not equal #1. I just cant see it.

At least hint to whom your source is -- player, coach, Cameron Crazie, whatever -- and then I might take credence in your assessment of Rasheed Sulaimon.
I agree that losing Sulaimon would be a major loss for Duke. He's the best all-around player on the team this season. The type of player who just does everything right, passes with extraordinary vision and who can defend as well as he scores. Sulaimon is already the best perimeter defender on this year's team, 11 games into his career, and it would be huge to lose that presence next year.Laley23 wrote:If Rasheed Sulaimon leaves, it will be tough for Duke to be pre-season favorites. However, with 6-8 Jabari Parker, 6-9 Rodney Hood (who Coach K has called the best player on the Duke team this year), 6-4 Matt Jones and 6-4 Andre Dawkins (who will provide two of the most deadly three-point shots in the country next year), Duke will have the deepest and most potent collection of wings in the country. Throw in a junior Quinn Cook (who is developing into an excellent point guard and solid shooter), a third-year Marshall Plumlee (before Marshall's preseason injury, Coach K called the seven-foot, old-school, back-to-the-back center the sixth man on this roster) and a decent cast of experienced support players with another year under their belts, and I think you still have a clear national title contender. -
reclegend22But I don't think there's any way Rasheed Sulaimon goes pro after this year. I mean, I guess it could happen -- Corey Maggette shocked everyone when he bolted after just 39 games in '99 -- but I firmly believe that Rasheed will take the coaching staff's and other NBA Draft analyst's advice and come back to Duke for another year for a run at the lottery in 2014.

ironman02I may have missed this, but does Red Rider Nation work at Duke or something? Sounds like he's close to the program.
Anyway, hope he's right about Sulaimon. I don't want to see him stick around Durham. -
