Thats not why IU/UK isnt happening. It goes way deeper then that and Crean/Cal need to stop being hardasses and stubborn fucks and give the fans and nation what everyone wants to see.

And as a side note, I hate finals week. No good games on during the week at all

    There goes the Big East:

The Big East Conference, the only to send three teams to a Final Four, will announce Thursday that its non-FBS programs are splitting from their brethren, sources told The Post.

The presidents of the seven schools that don’t play big time football - DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence Seton Hall, St. John’s and Villanova - are holding a teleconference with Big East Commissioner Mike Aresco Thursday and expected to issue a statement this afternoon saying that are parting ways.

Me and a buddy said the other day they should leave and join up with Butler, VCU, and Xavier, and one or 2 others.

I would like to know the real reason. IU/UK have been playing for a very long time. If UK wanted to dropsomeone from their crazy NC schedule then it should be someone else and not a team that you have played for Y E A R S and was a great rivarly.

Probably will never know the real reason. But UK didnt like the road game and wanted all neutral site games. IU liked the home and home cause they wanted the students to have at least 1 UK game in their 4 years. They couldnt reach, for whatever reason, and agreement.

Florida/Arizona on Saturday night. Should be one of, if not the best OOC of the year...

I got a feeling that Florida rolls in that one. Not that Arizona is bad, far from it, but I think Florida is REALLY good this year.

KU @ OSU next Saturday will be a thriller, too. Kansas is en fuego right now. OSU has looked pretty damn good.

That will be a fantastic game. Really looking forward to it.

Tennesse beat Wichita State, who was 9-0. Not a shocking win because I think the Vols are going to be a solid team, but they not only won, they scored 69 in doing so. That's an explosion considering their past few games. Should end up a quality win.

    Butler +11 vs Indiana. Thoughts?

My main thought is why is Butler not ranked? They should be at least 20th
  • Azubuike24
I'd agree, but I see where they wouldn't be. Why isn't Kentucky ranked? Butler has wins over Marquette and Northwestern, but both of those teams are unlikely to make the NCAA Tournament. They lost by 15 to Xavier, which is a bad loss. The win over UNC is pretty legit.

We'll get a chance today to see if they deserve it. But even so, being "unranked" given the parity of this year doesn't mean much. Outside of the top 8 or so, everyone else is really even. Match-ups and location of games is going to be a huge factor this year, IMO.

Needless to say, it is absolutely imperative that Butler continue shooting the three well, or this will eventually turn into a one-sided affair. In terms of athletic prowess and physical stature, Indiana is like the Dallas Cowboys compared to Butler.

Andrew Smith is the lynchpin in this game for the Bulldogs. They will need him to continue to stretch the floor so that Clarke can also find some room to get to the bucket and the free throw stripe.

Memphis is up 29-21 on Louisville with 5 to go in the first half.
  • reclegend22
I believe Memphis had a 25 to 6 lead, if I read my updater right. Rick Pitino needs to regroup. While talented, Memphis isn't a team to be reckoned with.
  • Azubuike24
Pastner is a terrible coach. Louisville had Russ Smith get injured and Dieng is still injured. While the Cardinals are certainly overrated, even 100%, Memphis never impresses me. Is there a player more hyped and less improved than Joe Jackson?

Memphis with 16 turnovers. Really, they should be up by 15 points...
  • reclegend22
Agreed about Pastner. He somehow has kept up a relatively high level of recruiting post-Calipari, but I have no clue as to how. Memphis is a murder city and Pastner, as you say, is a dreadful coach.

Rotnei Clarke, while certainly wild at moments, is virtually unguardable from deep. He just shoots the ball so quickly and on a sudden dime, from any distance.

Butler up 2 with 5:42 left
  • Crimson streak
Indiana could go down today butler up 5 4 to go
  • Midstate01
    Smith really outworking zeller today.

You don't wanna run for 40 minutes with IU. But it's looking like if you make them play in the half court they're at least vulnerable there. Especially on the offensive glass. Don't know if butlers gotten a lot of them, but they've gotten their hands on the ball a lot.

    Amazing what butler does
And I hate iu but they're really good.
  • reclegend22
This would be arguably the biggest win of Brad Stevens' career, and that is saying something. Beating No. 1 Indiana, the king school of your state. It would also vault the Bulldogs into the top 15.
  • Midstate01
Iu has gotten ALL the calls today as well.
  • Azubuike24
Agreed. All the fouls have gone IU's way. Even so, it shows what a down year it is when Cody Zeller is considered a runaway NPOY favorite...

Roosevelt Jones, with the worst form EVER on foul shots, hits a pair...
