Speaking of the Big East, Seton Hall and South Florida just set college basketball back 30 years with a pathetic display.

Luckily I bet on Seton Hall. 37-37 going into overtime, sad. Thanks for the reps on the username, luckily I doubt I'm as douchy as him.

Agreed. A great read. The BET has always been one of my favorite sporting events. It's been a joy to watch over the years. So many great performances, players and games. And it being at MSG was just perfect. It sucks that it's ending. Sucks even more that I started a new job 5 months ago and can't take tomorrow and Thursday off to watch it one last time like I have over the years.

My top 3 BET memories in order...G-Mac's incredible 4-day run in '06. The 6-OT classic. Dave Johnson hitting a GW shot to beat G'town in the early 90's. Obviously enjoyed many incredible performances, games and players that didn't involve Syracuse as well. I really hate that this is the last go-round.

Agreed that the Big East Tournament has always been a fanatastic event, one of the best. And, even as an ACC fan, probably the best over the last decade and a half.

With that said, welcome to the ACC Tournament, the oldest, most storied and only tournament in America that crowns the official conference champion. With Duke, North Carolina, Syracuse, Louisville, North Carolina State and Miami (as well as Wake Forest, Notre Dame, Pitt and Virginia), it's going to once again be the greatest conference tournament in the land, the way it once was, and word is that in the coming years, in addition to its traditional home in Greensboro, it could be making occasional appearances in Madison Square Garden.

I agree. With all the good teams the ACC is pulling in, they do have a chance to have a conference tournament on par with this year's Big 10 at least once or twice in the next couple decades.

In the Big East tournament, it looks like Cincinnati will defeat Providence, up 60-44 with one minute to play.

Moves them to 22-10 which ought to help them with getting in the tournament, since they fell from in to bubble/out over the past few weeks.

The guys on college basketball live just said that Gonzaga is the cinderalla story that everyone is rooting for. I certainly am not rooting for them.

Currently, thanks to being 6-10 from three, Seton Hall is up 30-25 on 'Cuse with under 4 to go in the first half.

Then again, Syracuse is 5-8 from long range and 10-20 overall, so maybe the blame should go to their defense.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that they can potentially be a 1 losing to a 16 seed.

The 16s are worse than teams in their conference. Who they beat by about 60 on a nightly basis.

Getting a Mid-Major like Gonzaga as a #1 gives us the best chance for a 16 over 1...but this year, it simply wont matter.

Norfolk St lost to Bethune-Cookman. They were 16-0 in conference in the regular season. B-C was the 8 seed. 16 seeds just got a little weaker.

I'm sitting here watching the bucknell game and I looked up their roster to see if any kids are from my area and I see a kid from hershey is a freshman there. I click on his picture and its this kid I played basketball with in the summer at the park. The kid is 6"9 and was fucking terrible. How the hell did this kid get a d-1 scholarship wtf?

You are either awesome or you suck at evaluating talent

It would have been alright for the MEAC bid had North Carolina Central would have won (they went 15-1 and didn't play Norfolk due to wacky scheduling), but they went down to the 7th seed today as well.

The MEAC Champ vs Liberty in the play in.

The end of that Charlotte-Richmond game was nuts. 8/11 from free throw line in the last 4.7 seconds to change the lead.

Saw it. Dont have a problem with it, either. A game should be called the same way, whether its the 1st quarter or there is 10 seconds left.
