Kinda like most ND fans the last 3 years? All we heard was how "ND lost that game on their own, Michigan wasn't the better team, they just got lucky, etc".

Honestly last year yes the other years ehh they were about even

I'm watching the game with an osu fan. When Michigan had the ball with like 4 minutes to go he yells "kick it". Bartender goes, "it's first down??". Buddy goes, "yeah, and if they had kicked it on first down every other time inside the 20 this would be to win the game" I was dying.
  • GoChiefs
    Lmao..first you say this...

    Quite condescending don't you think?

UM got the wins those years, so obviously they were the better team all 3 years.

This. The difference between UM and ND is UM has actually won a BCS bowl. Notre Dame is 0-3. Just the facts.

That game was ugly as fuck. But a win is a win. And I'll gladly take 4-0 to start the season.

Never thought I'd say it...but thank God for the Notre Dame defense. If not for the defense, this team is 1-3...2-2 at best. When was the last time the defense was the strength of a Notre Dame team?

Golson finally played like a redshirt freshman tonight. It was a big game and he didn't rise up. I don't like that Kelly pulled him. That's gotta fuck with the confidence of a young player. But Rees came in and got the win. Why the fuck didn't Cierre Wood get more carries? He was the only one that could move the ball against that defense, yet he only got like 7 carries?! That's insane.

ND did not look too hot tonight. But at the end of the day they are 4-0. They will have the bye week to get things back on track. And I think they will come out inspired against Miami. With the way this defense is playing...I could see the Irish being 7-0 going into the game at Norman.

    Oh, and Sparty is overrrated.

The worst part is OSU, ND and Sparty will be ranked while Michigan will not. And I don't think any of them are better than Michigan.

    Take your own advice, web.

Also, you'll find out soon how much better the bucks are than Michigan.

Sorry, but I don't think either team can toot their own horn about being the better team as of right now. Michigan is 2-2 and Ohio State has played nothing but a cupcake schedule so far, struggling against 3 of those 4 easy wins.

You were right, he didn't throw the ball up for grabs at all.

    Wrong.
Trueblue23;1275433 wrote:Notre Dames defense is really... Really good. Except for their secondary. If the run game can get past their ridiculous DLine (doubtful), Michigan will have success.

At the end of the day, Michigan has Denard Robinson.

    Michigan 34
    Notre Dame 31

Thank God for Michigan having Denard Robinson. Happy birthday to him too.

Not a pretty game, but an exciting game nonetheless. ND's defense looked very good, but tsun's did (for the most part) as well. I didn't expect that many turnovers by the skunkbears, but I also didn't expect the relentless pressure by the Irish front seven. What I took away from watching this game is that Notre Dame could possibly make a serious run for a BCS bowl (at the very least), and that tsun will not win the Legends division (that will go to the Huskers).
  • mcburg93
ND is the greatest team ever.
  • KR1245
ND's defense looked pretty impressive, still think the offense has some work to do. I dont like the qb switch so early in the game/season but it worked for them last night.

I wouldnt be surprised to see ND make a run at a BCS game, also wouldnt be surprised if they dropped 3-4 games this season.
  • killer_ewok
Agree about the switch. Not crazy about it but fortunately for ND and Kelly...it has worked out so far. And I could see ND dropping 3-4 games too in a worst case scenario.
