Well obviously it was a terrible game by 2 mediocre teams. Someone had to win.

This is true, at least the part about it being a terrible game. Quite boring compared to some of the other games today.

He played his ass off tonight. I never really thought he had lived up to his hype in his time at South Bend, but he's playing lights out right now.

I know ND fans will rip this to shreds, but looking forward, I think Michigan has more positive to take from this than ND (aside from the W/L column for this week). Michigan did everything it could to give ND a blowout win. And they get by with a 7 point win.

Yesterday 1:19 P.M. by sleeper- "Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio State are all top 10 teams this year."

I was looking for this. Couldn't remember what thread it was in.

I'll agree with this. If the defense plays like they did tonight (and we don't have 6TOs), we'll be in pretty good shape.

Reminded of me the alleged "Game of the century" last year between LSU and Alabama. What was it like 12 missed field goals?

I honestly thought both of ND's lines would blow us to bits. Neither happened.

Right because its the end of the season and rankings matter right now.

I'm fairly certain not a single person on earth called it the game of the century.
  • Azubuike24
Similar. However, ND won't sniff the BCS title game. Too tough of a schedule...

Not sure Alabama can be too upset about only scoring 6 in that game...the trophy is in their locker room.

To be honest notre dame sucked ass tonight. Easily the worse game of the year. Luckily we came out with the victory. I hate that Kelly benched golson. Hopefully he's still the starter. If not I think it's a huge mistake

The only way those three teams finish in the top 10 is if you are talking about top 10 in the Big Ten standings

Talking heads on ESPN/CBS did nothing but call LSU/Alabama the game of the century. They nut jerked for 3 weeks in prep for that game.

If you're talking about our game tonight (Michigan/ND), you're right, nobody said that.

Not quite sure how anyone can rip you for it because it's true. 6 turnovers and still only lost by a touchdown. Not taking anything away from the Irish, but like you said, it should have been much worse.

    Agreed.

Beating Michigan was big. ND did not play well offensively but I'll take the win.

Coined a "Game of the Century," this was the first time two Southeastern Conference (SEC) football teams came into a regular-season matchup undefeated and ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the nation. In a game dominated by both defenses, LSU won in overtime 9–6.

Honestly I'd be worried as an Irish fan. I am strangely ok with this loss. 6 TOs is not common, and had Michigan not had that, they win. The defense played well.

    Oh, and Sparty is overrrated.

The worst part is OSU, ND and Sparty will be ranked while Michigan will not. And I don't think any of them are better than Michigan.

ND just beat Michigan yet you don't think they're better than UM? Okay. Because ND had nothing to do with any of those turnovers, right? Sour grapes. The better team won tonight.

Notre dame played terrible tonight yet finished with 6 to's and a win but yet there not better? Sorry that denard sucks and can't throw the football.
