Would you want Notre Dame in the Big Ten?
-
sjmvsfscs08^It's*
No I'll have fun watching Ohio State, I go to school there and support them fervidly. However I'm not a fool, having 100% faith with anything in a game like college football is absolutely ridiculous. Do I think Ohio State will win? I don't know, it's a tight game to call. I'm hoping the Buckeyes come out with a victory. WAIT! This Notre Dame fan doesn't hate Ohio State? No, and explaining it to all of you motherfuckers is getting rather annoying. -
sleeper^ Why you gotta hate on Ohio State bro?
-
sjmvsfscs08I don't know what you're talking about.

That's dumb, considering the Big 10 has their nose shoved up ND's ass every time they want to expand.newarkcatholicfan wrote: Temple is doing very well in the M.A.C.
N-Dame would do just fine there too. -

LMAO.........you are a real moron!sleeper wrote: ^ Why you gotta hate on Ohio State bro? -
ridgerunner88Like to see Nebraska and Missouri, give them Michigan!!!
-
redfalconI think Notre Dame would be a solid addition to the conference, but I am confused as to all this talk about Missouri. How about Notre Dame, Pitt, and WVU instead?
Big Ten East:
Penn State
Pittsburgh
West Virginia
Ohio State
Michigan
Michigan State
Notre Dame
Big Ten West:
Indiana
Purdue
Illinois
Northwestern
Wisconsin
Minnesota
Iowa -

It's dumb being that N-Dame wouldn't fair all that well in the MAC maybe the sunbelt would better fit them at this point in time.rock_knutne wrote:

Keep spinning things pal, it's not the MAC who is constantly wanting them to join their conference but the Big 10. If ND sucks so bad then why does a so called "glorious power house" conference like the Big 10 want them in so badly? I'm sure you'll come up with some other stupid response. -

they make sense geographically, they are an AAU member, they have decent athletics, they would bring in 2 new media markets and they actually seem interested in joining -
Classyposter58I am shocked no one has brought up Cincinnati yet as they now have an excelling football program and have always had an outstanding basketball team. I think Notre Dame is obviously the best addition to the Big 10. They have the rich tradition, large fanbase and are centered right in the heart of Big 10 country. No brainer

hrspeedmerchantI agree Cincinnati would be a good addition to the Big Ten. They're a proven commodity in basketball and the football team has had a fine team these past few years.
If you want a comparison to a school already in the Big Ten, look no further than Indiana. -
wes_mantoothCincinnati would be a great addition, but nobody brings in more money, more tv ratings than ND. I know that a lot of people are just trying to piss off the ND posters, but there is no denying what ND brings to the table, even when they are bad.

tcby99yes....please.

I found his statement rather funny. You guys keep giving the ammo.rock_knutne wrote:

So you would put most of the bottom feeders and a few teams that are occasionally good in the West division? Also, I believe Purdue is further East than Notre Dame.redfalcon wrote: I think Notre Dame would be a solid addition to the conference, but I am confused as to all this talk about Missouri. But I can't see PSU, UM, ND and OSU all in one division. Those are 4 of the winningest programs of all time. You'd have to split it up. It's easier to make a North/South divisional breakup to make it more balanced IMO.
Cincy could just be an anomaly right now. Not too mention their stadium is tiny. The fanbase outside Cincy is not that big. The Big 10 is looking at this from a dollars and sense standpoint. ND would be the best option for the powers that be. Rutgers and Mizzou are the next 2 options that would bring in new markets and revenue.Classyposter58 wrote: I am shocked no one has brought up Cincinnati yet as they now have an excelling football program and have always had an outstanding basketball team. HtigersI think Notre Dame would be a perfect fit quality of football, plus location.
I think Missouri and Rutgers are to much travel for them to even be thought of. Cinncinnati , Pitt, WVU geographically fit the best along with Notre Dame.
Notre Dame will raise the GPA of the Conference plus they bring their own TV network with them -

Not all of them but you did just start one about Brian Kelly at halftime.rock_knutne wrote:

I didn't mean that, I mean when people respond to his posts defensively, he's getting what he wants, more ammo to piss you off. -

PreacherPersonally would like to see the Big 10 expand beyond just 12 teams.
Add ND, Pitt, Cincinnatti, WVa and Louisville.
Big 16
two divisions East and West.
Put OSU and Michigan in the same division.
Notre Dame in the other -
SonofanumpWVU is not going to be in the Big(12or16)Ten.

vball10set^^^agreed--the conference GPA would take too big of a hit
