OSU was the 3rd ranked team in 6 days, an ungodly flight half way across the globe, a trave day to Cbus and no practices.
    Then don't go to Maui.

If you want to play those games, you have to face the "consequences" of traveling out there. Using it as an excuse for getting their asses handed to them on a silver platter is fucking hysterical.

Nope. No excuses. Duke lost, so OSU is better.

Duke fans are the biggest excuse makers out there, Duke didn't shoot well because OSU guarded them and shut them down, smh @ CC

Duke scheduled Maui long before the game with OSU was scheduled. If anything, ESPN and Dick's Sporting Goods need to consider travel concerns of teams playing in early season tournaments. The timing of the matchup was not good for several schools, not just Duke.

Definitely want a rematch with OSU on a neutral court. OSU isn't as good as they were Nov.29 and Duke isn't as bad as they were. OSU is the more solid team overall, but they are not the 76 hoosiers. Anything can and does happen in March.

Also, I will allow Wildcats his temporary raging. His team got a W tonight but a 33 point road loss has many fans in CH shaking their heads. I actually heard two heel fans talking about wanting a defensive coach instead of Ol Roy. Imagine the thought? 2 National Titles and these two season ticket holders are already hoping for Brad Stevens to come save the Heels.

OSU will still beat Duke by 10 plus

Trolling on the Duke threads. More than enough going on in Chapel Hill to keep you busy.

If discussing the topic is trolling then yes.

There is nothing that I saw in the first match up that tells me the second would be much different, OSU outplayed Duke in every facet of the game.

I would say 11 points, with it being a 7-9 point game for most of the second half. Do want to see another game. Duke is a different team than they were when then they played in November. Not having a point guard on the floor really allowed Craft to roam defensively. Seth Curry cannot put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. He is a set shooter. Having him running the point early on really hampered the offense K likes to run. Quinn Cook isn't a savior by any means, but actually letting Curry move around without the ball in his hands makes him a better offensive player.

What has yet to be found is how Rivers can score without having to command the offense. I trust this is something the staff is working on as well.

We've seen the best OSU can be so far this year. I don't think we've seen Duke's best. Kansas game was a measuring stick for sure, but the team playing now is much different than the one that played in Maui.

I was actually going to post something similar.

OSU isn't playing anywhere near the type of basketball they were that night and Dook is better. 22 points better? I don't think so.

X-factor as all Buckeye fans know is William Buford. He is the single hardest matchup in College basketball right now. When he is on OSU doesn't lose. When he isn't, something akin to the Kentucky regional final is possible.

A wing scorer like that in combination with inside presence is very tough to combat. That is what worries me about UConn. Drummond Oriyaki are monsters down low, if Lamb can find the fire he had last year they will be a near impossible out. Their weak guard play hampers them now, but Boatright will likely be eligible again.

Syracuse is a great team, but I worry about them scoring in the half-court. They are so good in transition that whenever they run it is a dunking competition. However, when they have to settle down in an offense they have a tendency to shoot deep threes early in the shot clock. I can't see them winning a game where a team denies transition buckets and forces them to score in the half court. Virginia would give them fits right now. Good thing for Boeheim, they have plenty of time to address those "concerns" (my concerns are irrelevant).

Fla St is just better than Duke, they have to be they won.

Florida State has a good team. Duke's problem was that they gave 50 seconds half points to a team that averages 72.0 ppg. Tough loss for duke, buit not a big deal.
