Not unless those million have Nielsen. And how does a million not watching have an affect if my shitty town in Ohio not watching has no affect?SportsAndLady;1005324 wrote:I'm talking about a general population. Not anything specific. If some shitty ohio town you are from doesn't watch the game, obviously it won't affect anything..but say a million less people watch this year than normal, that would do something (the million number is just a guess..I don't know exactly how many the dent would be) -

I will, because not watching doesn't affect anything. You said so yourself.SportsAndLady;1005325 wrote:But whatever, I don't even care..keep watching the games...but don't bitch about the BCS system -

I'm not necessarily saying that MSU deserved a BCS bid. I'm saying that if UM is being put in a BCS game, MSU was more deserving of that spot.WebFire;1005262 wrote:I could buy into this if you simply said "UM didn't deserve a bowl bid." I might still disagree, but it would be more accurate. MSU does not deserve a BCS bid. -

There will be ads sponsoring the event. If a particular ad has a promotion, and you did not see the promotion, you will not take part in the promotion. This goes all the way back to the sponsors(the ones with the money) and they can make a decision whether to bid for the spot next year. If the impact of the promotion wasn't felt in the numbers, they may withdraw the bid. Now, there will always be some company desperate for national exposure, but if there are less companies competing for the sponsorship, the price will be less, which translate to less money for the schools and the NCAA.WebFire;1005328 wrote:Not unless those million have Nielsen. I know you don't have a college degree and you were completely lost the last time I presented a logical, rational argument to you, but hopefully you understand this one. Enjoy! -

I have no doubt they'll continue filling up the ad spots for these games. But you go ahead and not watch.sleeper;1005419 wrote:There will be ads sponsoring the event. Do you have a link to me not having a degree? -
WebFireAlso, S&A was talking about affecting ratings, not ad revenue. That's a different subject.

You once agains cannot follow simple logic. That is why I know you don't have a degree and you probably are a waiter/waitress.WebFire;1005459 wrote:I have no doubt they'll continue filling up the ad spots for these games. But you go ahead and not watch.

Go ahead and not watch. We'll see what happens. That's all I'm saying.sleeper;1005472 wrote:No you didn't. Otherwise you would agree as there is nothing to debate.
Besides, S&A is the one that told me my whole town wouldn't affect ratings. Contradicting logic. -

Oh I won't be watching and if you don't like the BCS you shouldn't watch either.WebFire;1005475 wrote:Go ahead and not watch. We'll see what happens. That's all I'm saying.
