A complete confession that the team blew it is QQing? What wouldn't be QQing? "Notre Dame sucks and always will. To say otherwise would be QQing" maybe? Gotcha.DeyDurkie5;1038406 wrote:LOL you are completing QQing
I love the responses all of you have that are all of about one sentence long each time. Why type a real thought for a merited discussion when you can act like durrrrrrkie and his bozo friends and clown around all day.
Probably because you can't spell "completely."DeyDurkie5;1038456 wrote:not even going to attempt this convo.. -

athlete37In other news, ND is in the running for Armond Armstead too now and jumped into Shaq Thompson's top three. Would be nice to get the Armstead brothers, Shaq and Shumate

karen lotzShaq isn't coming. He's good friends with Tee and Deontay and is trolling the media like they did.
-
Tobias FünkeWhat's the deal with Armond Armstead? Admissions had to really be stepping up their game if they admit him as a fifth-year.
-
karen lotzThey do allow students from other universities into graduate programs don't they? I know senior transfers are not allowed.
-
Tobias FünkeWell yeah, I guess that is true.
Has it ever happened before? Notre Dame sends its graduates to other schools on an annual basis, but have they ever been the recipient of such a move? -
karen lotzYeah I don't remember anyone transferring in for football other than Prestwood, and he was only after one semester. Basketball has had a few including Scott Martin currently.

You think the Chiefs are better than the Packers. Shut the fuck up.ccrunner609;1039059 wrote:And there it is..............the mythical recruiting class. -

A few things, let me know if you don't comprehend this so I can slow down.ccrunner609;1039059 wrote:And there it is..............the mythical recruiting class.
John Goodman - 6'4 190
247 - n/a
Rivals - #51 WR
ESPN - #43 WR
Scout - #21 WR
Sooo, basically he was mediocre. The point you're trying to make simply doesn't make any sense. John Goodman was not one of the stars of the class like Michael Floyd and Kyle Rudolph.
Also, unlike the studs in this years class whose skill I can validate through rankings and offers, John Goodman had offers from the following schools: Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Purdue, and Notre Dame. Not exactly elite, or even very good.
Also also, and here's what I'm think you can't understand, he was recruited by Weis to be a WR in a pro-style offense. I have no idea how he'd have worked out in Weis' offense (probably not very well anyway), but Kelly's offense is much different and the athletes are needed for it to be effective. That's why Notre Dame is loading up on athletes this class. In a few short years (or months I hope) you will see some supremely athletic kids on the edges for Notre Dame.
Here's something you, as a track guy, might actually respect: Chris Brown, a WR commit, is the #1 triple-jumper in the country at 51'+. He ran a 21.9 200m (Ted Ginn Jr. ran a 21.16 by comparison) and ran a 4.44 40m. Elite speed? Not really. Very good speed and athletic? You bet your ass. How about Ronald Darby, he holds a junior world track record. He ran a 4.31 40m (the same as Ted Ginn's, I believe) and his junior year ran a 21.28 200m, and a 10.59 100m. Not too fucking shabby.
EDIT: I should probably note that I put a player's rankings in the order of the recruiting service that is known for accuracy. Scout is known for being the least accurate (ESPN is known for favoring southern kids, respectively). -
Crimson streakWhat's the deal with armond armstead? Does that mean arik is leaning towards nd?

He is unlikely to return to Southern Cal for his 5th year. Their doctors haven't cleared him to play after a mysterious illness last year even though 6 or 7 independent doctors have said he is fine to play. PAC 12 won't let him transfer to other conference schools, the SEC no longer accepts 5th year graduate transfers. Arik has said he would like to play at the same school as his brother and his current top 5 is ND, Oregon, Texas, Auburn, and Cal. I don't think Arik has said where he is leaning, but if you put everything together, ND is in decent position to land both of them. I still think its an extreme longshot but stranger things have happened. -
karen lotzArmond was also given a 2nd or 3rd round draft grade after his junior season, but decided to return to school. He and his family believe Southern Cal not allowing him to play this past season has damaged his draft stock, so he wants to play somewhere to boost that back up.

Crimson streakI'll gladly take and how big of a fuck you to sc would it be if he went to nd

sherm03Fucking great...Landry Jones announced that he's staying at Oklahoma.
That means next year, Notre Dame will face Denard, Landry Jones, and Matt Barkley.
Could be another long year for the Irish. -
karen lotzMeh, Fuck em.

Also means the following year, we get a 1st year starter in the 3 toughest games of the year (in theory).sherm03;1040686 wrote:Fucking great...Landry Jones announced that he's staying at Oklahoma.

That's a valid point. 2013 it'll be three first year starters...and ND gets two of those three (Oklahoma and USC) at home. Could be a perfect storm with the young defense maturing and getting better.Laley23;1040752 wrote:Also means the following year, we get a 1st year starter in the 3 toughest games of the year (in theory).
2012 could be rough. But 2013 could be great! -
TiernanDenard's replacement will be an upgrade most likely.

I actually agree with this. But regardless, still a first year starter.Tiernan;1040984 wrote:Denard's replacement will be an upgrade most likely. -
karen lotzTee Shepard is in the student directory, which would put all of the speculation of him flipping to Southern Cal.
