  I hate Valentine. But I had to laugh last nite watching him deal with K. At one point, he turned his back to him as he was across the court. Another time, Valentine, with ball in had, ran down the court and gave K a hand in the face (to tell him to stop). Then ran back to inbound at other end of court. You don't see officials do that too often. But we all know how Valentine (Bob Knight incident) works a game. He is a showman, no question.
  Officiating? Hey, I can admit OSU got some calls. But when you play at home, you expect that. And the visiting team should expect to deal with some adversity. Officiating had NO bearing on this game. No matter how you look at it, how anyone wants to spin it, it was a BEATDOWN. Period.

  OSU first road game. At one of the toughest places to play in the country. As good as OSU looked last nite, that game in Allen will be a close game. Kansas isn't as good as they have been. But they are still certainly capable of beating anyone on their home court. HUGE difference from playing at home, to playing on the road. Let alone the first road game.

  Oh and your argument about Ohio State being a top 5 team and that Duke is not is simply stupid. At this point in the year rankings mean nothing, but even with the rankings in mind Duke is currently #3 in the AP poll.
  
  As for Craft, more power to him if he can be physical with Duke's guards, I just don't think the refs will let him get away with some of it. Once again just my opinion.

  ccrunner needs to man up immediately. Rec is a faux fan(didn't go to the school, lives in Ohio, and gave some sob story about how he's been a Duke fan since they last won a National Title). Swamimez went to Duke and roots for Duke football so he gets a pass(anyone who roots for Duke football should be given a tax break IMO).

  I disagree. It is more of a comment than it is a complaint. Games are called differently and how they are called can favor one team over another. He didn't claim the officiating was bad or in OSU's favor. He did claim that the refs 'Let em Play", which is true.

  I am not sure they let them play. I thought it was a pretty clean game by both teams. Duke was able to get into the bonus with a little over 10 min to go in the game. Which I thought some of those were ticky tack calls. But by that time, the game was pretty much over. There was some phyical play in the post at times. But nothing that great. Seen much more physical play during conference games than during last nites game. I thought overall, it was a very clean, well played game. OSU defensive pressure just caused Duke problems.

  1-you would think OSU would schedule at least 1 away game before traveling to AFH lol isn't it common to schedule a patsy away game just to get used to playing on the road before a big away game?
  
  2-that game will be weird..it's been sometime since Kansas has hosted a non-conference home game where the other team was ranked way ahead of them.

  I don't recall OSU playing many if any patsy away games. Its about $$$. They wouldn't make anything going away to play nobody.
  
  Personally, I think Kansas will give OSU all they want in this game, and a KU win wouldn't surprise me at all. OSU could come in #1 if UNC knocks off UK this weekend as well. I am sure that would jack up the Kansas crowd even more. Should be a great game.

  I thought the Nuthouse was great. I was only stating that I don't like the "overrated" chant, regardless of who's saying it. In my eyes, if you're chanting that the team you're beating is not as good as the pollsters think they are, then that sorta diminishes your team's win. Again, jmo.

  True, I take back my criticism about the Rivers chant. I forgot how much fun heckling at college sporting events as a college student is.
  
  However, I have never been a fan of the overrated team chant. You just beat them and want to diminish the meaning of your victory? Seems counter-intuitive to me.
