The accusers. SportsCenter showed an exerpt from Outside The Lines and these guys legitimacy is highly questionable.

I like how the one brother, when asked by ESPN's Mark Schwarz why he had waited for so long to tell his story, responded that, upon hearing of the Penn State case, he felt it was his obligation to speak out for children across the country who were facing similar horror. All I heard was, "Bank notes, Mark."

For those unfamiliar, the allegations are being brought on by two brothers who are saying Fine sexually abused them until they were full-grown adults. The other brother, who claims the molestation happened until he was 27, said that he never shared his story with anyone during the time period of the alleged abuse because of shame and not knowing if anyone would believe him.

    The unabomber is more believable.

Based on the info out there...I agree.

Gotcha, thanks. I didn't see anything other than the article.

Stay away from young kids, PERIOD! If you enter a room where it is only you and an youngun, GTFO! You never know what a kid is going to say/make up.

Boeheim came out and just BBQed the accusers and called them liars and said it never happened. (It might not have, I don't know..) But then he came out after that first statement and has since backed off the concrete claims. He is now saying he was never aware of anything and that he believes his assistant coach, and really took a much softer stance.

Somebody must have told him to stop wagging his finger and painting himself into a corner. If this stuff does come out true, Boeheim would essentially go down with the assistant coach.

The accusers are full of crap. Charges haven't even been filed.

This is what this case against Bernie Fine is about. The defense -- if it ever gets that far -- should just set up a projector in the courtroom with this video and push play.

So apparently the feds searched his home today and seized file cabinets.
  • reclegend22
What'd they find? Anything? Haven't really heard anymore more the case.

Not sure if this was posted or not have not read through the thread.

In 2002 the accuser recorded a conversation with Fine's wife and wow, just wow! Heard this on the radio this morning: http://m.espn.go.com/wireless/story?w=1b8mn&storyId=7286347&disableShare=true&adBlock=block&i=SC&hidePageFooter=true&hidePageHeader=true

I heard the taped conversation. Bernie Fine is in big trouble.
  • reclegend22
Well, if the audio recording is in fact Bernie Fine's wife, I take back everything I said. Bernie is going away for a very long time. And his wife should, too. She sounds like she needs a lobotomy. To alleged victim: "Does Bernie perform oral on you? He doesn't? Well, why wouldn't he? [laughs]" WTF.

Yup. And so is Syracuse and Boeheim IMO
  • reclegend22
Wait, so I just listened to the audio recording further and Bernie Fine's wife was also having a sexual relationship with the ball boy at the same time as Bernie?

I think Jim Boeheim better be prepared to backtrack.

WTF is wrong with people. Now the coach and his wife were molesting the kid. Anyone who molests a child should be a canidate for the death penalty.

This is such a ridiculous story. The two dudes seem way less than credible. I mean, "molested" until you were 27? Then the wife tape comes out. From what I read, the original guy was banging her too, but he was 18 at the time. So, that's legal, right? But if you can be molested at age 27....geezus, this is making my head spin.

Additionally, heard on the news this morning that a 3rd accuser has come out. But that accuser's own dad made a statement that the kid was a liar and making it all up. And supposedly the new accuser has/is also in trouble for molesting kids. Not sure if I caught it all right, but every individual in this whole story sounds insane.
  • Mulva
A recorded conversation from 2002 would make him in his 20s, would it not?
  • reclegend22
Yeah, I'm not sure what to believe either. At first, I thought the story of the two accusers would have seemed more believable if they were accusing Big Foot of the crimes, but the audio recording brings some mystery back into the allegations. The wife of Bernie Fine, however, just seems off her rocks. I mean, she sounds even less credible than the accusers initially did. I just don't know what or whom to believe.

Is it possible that Bernie Fine's wife did in fact have a sexual relationship with the accuser, but that the allegations they have corroborated together with regard to Bernie are not true and completely fictitious? As in, Bernie found out about this liaison between his wife and the kid and, upon Bernie's threats to leave her and make it known, the ball boy and the wife then conspired together to create these stories and maybe make some money? Is this even plausible? It sounds like something straight off the set of Bold and the Beautiful.

Bernie Fine, the man who is alleged to have sexually molested two former ball boys in his basement until they were 27, is actually turning out to sound the most credible. But perhaps that's just because we haven't heard a lot from him yet, aside from his denial of the accusations. Maybe he'll go on Geraldo At Large and deny everything live and in-person. If he does do that, he'll now know that admitting to just horsing around in the shower and feeling legs is not a good idea.

When does the media start jumping on this like they did with Penn State? Boeheim is a hall-of-famer and from some of the stuff out there, he might be in deeper than even Joe Pa was in-terms of what was going on with his knowledge.

lol at the backtracking in this thread.
