Is this the same as the Blazers wanting the Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak as their next HC? lol.

Mark Lyons will be the next Blazers GM. I think.

Norwood Teague (VCU's AD) is headed to the same position at Minnesota. Shaka to replace Tubby?

    He won't??

He redshirted his freshman year at Xavier -- which was Sean Miller's final season with the school -- and is set to graduate this spring, assuming no unforeseen complications arise. Since he would be considered a graduate transfer student, he would be eligible to play immediately.
    Nope

Damn I didn't realize he had been there that long.

    Lyons is a great player.

There have been a lot of rumblings about off-the-court issues.

We'll see. He'd fit nicely replacing Doron Lamb...

    Elijah Johnson
    Lyons
    Releford
    McLemore
    Withey

Is a really good starting 5. And they'd go 10 deep.
  • Azubuike24
Starting SG on a top 5 team. Or. The coach who he always wanted to play with.

Lyons isn't messing around. He's a bigger transfer than Oriakhi.

Been on a cruise since Thursday and skimmed through the last posts and I don't think I saw this...

Va Tech fired Seth Greenberg today.

I realize that he never got over the hump, but I really don't think anyone will at Tech. Bad move IMO.
  • Azubuike24
Ill-timed firing. I do think he deserved to get canned though, and they can do better. The best part about it is this...

@StephenCurry30: So Pops wants to coach. @sdotcurry Maybe we would get that scholarship offer to VT now!
  • killer_ewok
@AdamZagoria: Duke transfer Michael Gbinije is visiting Syracuse now and remains the favorite to land the 6-6 SF, sources told @SNYtv

It's official, Butler is going to the A 10.

    Good move for them.

Carolina hired former Tar Heel and ESPN analyst Hubert Davis to fill its assistant coaching vacancy after the departure of Jerod Haase to UAB. Great hire, in my opinion.
  • wildcats20
Great hire, tough loss with Haase.

One of the best rivalries has come to an end. IU and UK will not continue their series, which spans decades. Too bad for the game.

But, bring on a home and home with KU! Something Ive wanted for year.
  • Mulva
No more Hubert Davis on TV = great hire by UNC.
  • Azubuike24
The UK/IU series debate is so stupid.

The game was played on a neutral site forever. The idea that it's a ridiculous request or that UK is somehow "afraid to play IU" is ridiculous.

However, make no mistake about it. This is John Calipari wanting absolute control over everything UK. He's slowly getting it.
  • SportsAndLady
Can't wait for IU/KU, that's going to be awesome.

Hope it gets done (it should)

It just comes off as shitty on their side because mysteriously after IU beats them up there, they want to go back to neutral sites.

I view it more as Cal's philosophy of essentially running a pro program on a campus and wanting in the bigger venues when he can.
