5-8 teams per team? LOL that's the stupidest shit I've ever heard. How have I never known the SEC does that?

The only guys I think have any remote chance of being back are Teague 25%, Lamb 25%, Kidd-Gilchrist 10%, Jones 10%.

Wiltjer is back. Ryan Harrow should definitely be an upgrade over Teague (and probably is the main reason M.T. leaves). Then the incoming Freshman, which could also include Shabazz, Noel, Bennett, Pollard, Jefferson + the 3 current commits.
Love this kid's upside. Mainly because I am really fond of bigs with gracefulness on the perimeter. He hasn't shot an overwhelming number of threes as he doesn't play lots of minutes, but he's connecting on over 41% of them with almost 70 attempts. He's going to blow up.

I read an article a couple of days ago (as I'm sure you did, too) about Kidd saying he's putting real consideration into returning. It's always hard to predict a kid's true intent, however. I still feel the sting every once in awhile of the promise made by Jason Williams the summer after his sophomore year to return to Durham for the remainder of his career. As a senior, especially if Dunleavy and Boozer had still left the year prior, Williams might have put up numbers that mirrored Chris Jackson. It would have been nasty. Can't blame him, though, even if it did all end imperfectly.

Apparently the All-Conference "teams" are full teams, complete with subs and walk-ons and managers.

Many players talk about coming back when they are having fun with the season. After the season, reality checks in with the $$$ and the people around them chirping in their ears. Then things change quickly. I take nothing from what players say at this point in time.

Gary Parrish stated, without getting into specifics, that he believes Kentucky, next year, will be as good as this year's team.

Who knows what that means. Who knows who the players will be. Who knows if that's all hype. It's impossible to predict so many things. However, the options are wide open as far as what the team will look like.

I mean combine the incoming class + Wiltjer and Harrow, at minimum, you have a top 25 team. Then you factor in an almost certainty that they will add 2 more top 10 players (Bazz, Noel, Bennett, Pollard), maybe more, plus remotes chances of anyone outside of Davis returning, and that's basically 8 bullets in the gun that will all be fired, and if just 1 or 2 connect, watch out.

We'll see. Funny to discuss next year before this year even starts!

Yeah, I normally try to refrain from discussing future years and scenarios while the team is still playing. The seasons pass too quickly as it is. But it's always compelling to jump ahead and see what your tournament prospects might be. If you know there's a high probability that you'll be in the fray for another national championship run the following year, as schools like UK, Duke, North Carolina and Kansas traditionally are, it unquestionably makes the journey that you are on currently even that much more thrilling. It enables you to really enjoy the experience as the NCAAs unfold and not become completely consumed by the same dread of coming up short that might devour a fan of, say, Missouri, whose team has pushed all of its chips into the middle of the table in hopes of in the end turning up the luckiest hand.

That said, I'm still a complete mess when the ball tips for my team this time of year and a train-wreck when they lose. But I love it.

Heard an Auburn PG was accused of point shaving

Look at the SEC Tourney thread...link in there.

Varez Ward. Former Texas player. Got suspended by Auburn this year, never given a reason (violation of team rules) and hasn't played since.

Adidas calls the color "Infra-red". It is a very bright red color.

"Man, I can't wait for that Duke back to back show"

    -nobody ever
  • reclegend22
The perks of being a champion include getting a back to back show. Maybe if Digger had worked a little harder, you'd have one, too.
  • karen lotz
Just saying, that thing looks horrible. A show taking about Hurley and Laettner not getting along? Riveting.
  • reclegend22
I didn't see the preview of it, so I guess it's hard for me to comment on that. I guess I will just have to watch it and see what it is. Obviously I love that a documentary is being made about that Duke era, but I will also admit it if it's terrible. I have a Duke history highlight video in my DVD collection entitled "A Cut Above" that I wouldn't watch over Norbit.

    S&L...

The Cousy committee added Tyshawn to the list of finalists.

    Isaiah Canaan, Murray State
    Matthew Dellavedova, Saint Mary's
    Damian Lillard, Weber State
Kendall Marshall, University of North Carolina
    Tyshawn Taylor, University of Kansas

It's going to come down to Kendall and Tyshawn.
