  While I agree he is probably the best or at least most freakishly talented player in the country, the three-point shot was simply an anomaly, right? Or is Davis starting to shoot them occasionally now? I noticed in the Vanderbilt game at Vandy, I think it was, that he seemed to be drifting further and further from the hoop when taking jumpers. The three-ball is definitely not Davis' shot.

  In terms of pure numbers -- especially scoring and rebounding -- Robinson would definitely seem to have the edge in the NPOTY race. Davis has the natural gifts such as length, wingspan, reach and vertical quickness that a big man just can't be taught and that makes him the most dominant defender in college basketball since Shaq and Alonzo.
  
  It's such a tough call. Davis, though, because he is not as polished an overall scorer as Robinson and because UK has so many offensive weapons, is rarely going to light up the scoreboard. Not this year at least.

  They aren't bad numbers when you consider he only played about a half because UK was up 40 at times.
  
  It all depends on perspective. T-Rob means much more to his team's success than Davis, because he's essentially one of two options. He'll put up phenomenal numbers despite being the defense's focus. He's had an incredible year. On the other side of the argument, it's been well over a decade since anyone has compared to Davis on the defensive end. He changes a game more than anyone. And he scores and rebounds well enough, despite being on a team surrounded by pros. You can't go wrong with either.

  Can't get over how many uncontested shots Kentucky had last night. Felt like Miller could stand at the three point line all day and no one would run out at him. Obviously Georgia wanted UK taking deep shots, but good lord. A combination of the dribble drive offense and the Bulldogs simply not caring enough to play defense more than 15 feet from the basket.
  
  Agree with Bilas and Dakich on Syracuse as being a type of team that can give the Cats trouble. However, it comes down to how well UK shoots the ball from deep. If they shoot 30% or greater they probably get a win.

  Ohio State: I think this team became a fat cat. The Buckeyes got a little arrogant early. They beat the crap out of Duke and I think that put them on cruise control. They have the most weapons in the league; it isn't close. Anybody in that first five is capable of scoring. I like William Buford, but it seems like he just goes with the flow. He's not going to bring it to you. Jared Sullinger is a great college player, but I don't think he's a tough kid. He flops a lot. He's always looking for a call and he can get really frustrated. You have to stay between him and the basket and make him shoot over you, because he doesn't have much lift. That's what Josh Harrellson did to him last year in the Kentucky game. Aaron Craft is not a good shooter so guys are going under ball screens. They're probably kicking themselves a little for not taking Trey Burke. He's from Columbus and played AAU ball with Sullinger, but they passed on him because they had Craft. I love Craft, but he does some dumb stuff at the end of games. He puts his head down and drives into packs of people.

  Robinson's statistical numbers all trump Davis', except for blocks.
  
  I know I've had the "you can't go wrong with either one" but I'm starting to change my tune a little bit.

However, given the demands of each team and what was typical contribution from each to their squad, Harrellson definitely outplayed him. Had OSU dominated that match-up, they likely get up early and force UK to come back. OSU might be the defending national champs right now...

  Nobody from the left side of the bracket was stopping UConn last year. The Huskies were one of the most unexpected champions ever. It was simply in the cards.

  I'd love to see a Syracuse-Kentucky title game. It would be a great game IMO.

  Spot on. I will always believe UK was the only thing in the way of Ohio State cutting down the nets. They were easily the worst matchup for Ohio State IMO, and it showed when they played. Buford going 2/16 is what ill always blame that loss on.

  It wasn't like Buford was the only one who shot poorly. But again, the difference was the STUFF Harrellson. He had his best game of the season. No one, no on expected him to do 17/10 game. In a tight defensive struggle of a game, he was the difference. He didn't outplay Sullinger, but he certainly equalized him in a game when Sullinger should have been the difference in the outcome. Oh well, over and done with.

  buford going 2/16 was the difference, not harrelson
