I do not have a link. Brandon Castel of the O-Zone was discussing it and said Miller was trying to go back in but was not allowed. He didn't specifically say it was a doctor's decision, but I have heard interviews before on injuries at OSU with Tressel and he always said the doctor has the final say. I doubt that has changed.vball10set;929021 wrote:Writer, I gotta' ask--were you on the sideline for this game? I agree that what the doctor says is golden, but where did you see this? Please post a link--thanks. -
WriterbuckeyeFickell just told the media that Nathan Williams is done for the season and is likely looking at another surgery. Perhaps he can get a medical redshirt and play another year.
One more bad thing that's happened this very forgettable season. -

damn...maybe we can get all this negative shit out of the way all in one fell swoopWriterbuckeye;930166 wrote:Fickell just told the media that Nathan Williams is done for the season and is likely looking at another surgery. Perhaps he can get a medical redshirt and play another year.

WriterbuckeyeNow they're reporting it's microfracture surgery. I'd say his football career is most likely over. Few come completely back from that surgery.

captvernB Miller is getting better everyweek, I look for big things this weekend OSU 24 ILL 20

It all depends on his ankle. If he's well enough to make cuts, he will be a formidable weapon that OSU has lacked; of not, we'll see Illinois do what MSU did.captvern;930334 wrote:B Miller is getting better everyweek, I look for big things this weekend OSU 24 ILL 20
If Bauserman ends up playing at any point in time, then chalk this one up to the loss column, probably ugly. -
rightfieldI take it micro fractures don't have a good recovery rate? Losing Williams seems to be par for the course this season.

Fickell said during his Presser that Guiton was taking 2nd team repsWriterbuckeye;930342 wrote:If Bauserman ends up playing at any point in time, then chalk this one up to the loss column, probably ugly. -

He also said Guiton was getting reps on special teams. I don't see Guiton getting a chance to play unless Miller and Bauserman go down.LJ;931070 wrote:Fickell said during his Presser that Guiton was taking 2nd team reps -

I don't think it's necessarily an end to his career, but you definitely can't expect him to be nearly as quick or explosive for now on. With microfractures of the knee, think Greg Oden, Tracy McGrady, or Kenyon Martin. Of course Amare and Kidd have both had it and have come back pretty well.rightfield;931068 wrote:I take it micro fractures don't have a good recovery rate? It's usually a successful procedure with shorter recovery times, but it can go either way for a serious athlete. A successful surgery to you and me may not be considered successful to a college or pro athlete. -

It's really hard to tell what the outcome will be. Kellen Winslow, Marques Colston, and Bruce Smith all had it. They were all very successful at returning to a high level. Winslow had his best season as a pro the year after his surgery.charliehustle14;931203 wrote:I don't think it's necessarily an end to his career, but you definitely can't expect him to be nearly as quick or explosive for now on. Not surprising, but we've been able to confirm Nathan Williams will seek medical redshirt and will be returning to Ohio State next season.

The defense next year should be insanely good, if Williams makes it back.vball10set;931341 wrote:to your comment... -

It will still lack depth, quickness and experience at LB. Who would have thought this even a year or so ago? Too many injuries, defections and missing out on two stud Ohio recruits.se-alum;931376 wrote:The defense next year should be insanely good, if Williams makes it back. -

Mistake? How do you make a mistake in what you believe? You were very passionate in contradicting yourself.Writerbuckeye;931617 wrote:I don't know: will you still be stalking my every move then, hoping I make another mistake? What an exciting and productive life you must have. -

So you've never come across information in your life that completely changed your view on something you believed differently earlier? Or the course of time has never softened your views on something you may have had much stronger feelings about before?se-alum;931630 wrote:Mistake? How do you make a mistake in what you believe?
