#14 Nebraska def. Ohio State 34-27

Anyone else going to the game? My buddy and I are in the north stands I believe, row 99.

I was very close to going to this game but I think I am opting for Purdue instead. My work schedule is getting in the way and I don't really feel like traveling half way across the country to cornville to watch my buckeyes get their dicks beat in.

Perhaps. Or perhaps the Buckeyes who are predicting OSU doom and gloom didn't watch beyond the first quarter and a half of the NU/Wisconsin game ;)
  • vashti1
Yep, but I'll be in Husker Red on the 35 yard line in the west stands.

I hope you enjoy your trip to Lincoln. Be sure and try the Runzas. Also Valentinos pizza is great (they sell both at the game or at multiple franchises around town). For non-game activities, the Haymarket area is fun to hang out in and just a mile or so from the stadium.

Perhaps. Or perhaps the Buckeye fans watching the NU/Wisc. game tuned out after the first 1 1/2 quarters and didn't see the licking the Badgers put on the Huskers.;)

I read where Verlon Reed has a torn ACL so it looks like he is done for the season

Yeah, I saw it. It involved some nice passing plays. Something OSU does not have in its arsenal and isn't likely to be calling many of given who is calling the plays.

Two questions: What are you smoking and do you have any to spare? :D

I'm wondering if we even have a chance. I think our defense could keep Nebraska in check, but can our O even score? This could be bad.

    Fixed it for you.

Even if the D can be as effective as it was in the MSU and Miami games, holding down the amount of points scored for most of the game; they will eventually wear out and Nebraska will score a decent amount of points. On the other hand, I don't see OSU scoring much at all unless something very different is done in the play calling, or the light bulb suddenly goes on for Miller.

One player who was conspicuous in his absence during the Buckeyes loss to Michigan State was cornerback Dominic Clarke. Clarke, who played well for the Buckeyes during Travis Howard's early season suspension, did not record a tackle as Howard was entrusted with covering Michigan State's all-time leading receiver, BJ Cunningham. Howard struggled mightily against Cunningham (unless riding a receiver for 5 yards on his way to a first down is now considered a success), but Fickell refused to make personnel adjustments to try and fix the problem. No idea why Clarke didn't get on the field, but if Howard Island continues to struggle, I will be shocked if Clarke doesn't retake the starting spot opposite Bradley Roby soon.I read where someone suggested "Howard Island" was more like Put-In-Bay recently, since everyone in the midwest goes there to score on the weekends.

Will Harris of ESPN predicts 34-3 Nebraska. Also took Northwestern to upset Michigan.

Come on, if OSU can score 7 on MSU, they can certainly put up at least 10pts vs Neb!! ;)

Nobody hopes I'm wrong more than me -- but I only know what my eyes show me during games, and the drivel the coaches spew after to try and explain it.

When the key members of a coaching staff try to tell me "it's not about x's and o'x" on offense, but execution, I know they're either lying, arrogant beyond redemption or so stupid they probably can't wipe their own asses.

Since we know they aren't stupid, it's either an out and out lie or arrogance so deeply ingrained that what is clearly a lie to you and me, actually sounds like truth to them.

I have to take such comments to mean they aren't planning on making adjustments to the horrors I've seen them produce on offense. That being the case against a team as talented as Nebraska, on the road, and I feel pretty confident saying this will get ugly before it ends.

The Huskers aren't as bad as last week showed, they just really had a bad game. OSU is in big trouble saturday though, this team looked lost and intimidated by the crowd at Sun Life Stadium , what the heck are they gonna do in Lincoln! I like Nebraska by 35
