9/3: South Florida @ #18 Notre Dame - 3:30 on NBC

Hamp89I think Toma came in for one play when Riddick dropped his 100th ball.

The dumb ones.krambman;882465 wrote:So how many Notre Dame fans out there right now are wishing that they had hired Skip Holtz instead of Brian Kelly?
Holtz is a fine coach though. -
Hamp89One a side note, Floyd is fucking awesome. It's too bad Crist missed him so many times in the first half.
I am completely on board with Rees, always have been. He makes good reads, stays cool, and throws an accurate ball. He without a doubt fits this offense better than Crist. -

Every year?lhslep134;882470 wrote:Because it's ridiculous you guys get in the top 25 every year and we have to listen to undeserved optimism based solely on a preseason ranking. Not specifically on here, but more in general from my friends who are insufferable ND fans.
2010?
2008?
2007?
There are a ton of shots here to take, but don't be factually inaccurate. You look like a dumbass. -

Floyd was missed one time by Crist in the first half, on the 3rd down slant where he was high with the throw. Rees missed some reads tonight as well. He did make some really good throws too, but he still made mistakes.Hamp89;882500 wrote:One a side note, Floyd is fucking awesome. It's too bad Crist missed him so many times in the first half.

So basically because the media ranks ND pre-season you come on a game thread after a brutal performance when we are bound to be high strung to troll...???? It can bring the Lulz all you want it too, but does it really accomplish anything to bring it to the boards? I dont mind the trolling in threads like the off-season one as much, but trolling on gameday threads is dumb imo.lhslep134;882484 wrote:I'll rephrase. You guys are ranked in the preseason top 25 more times than you finish in the top 25. Apologies for the oversight. Maybe if you guys didn't rub in the offseason happenings of Ohio State I wouldn't be saying anything. Can't help but smile seeing ND lose at home. If that makes me a troll because I don't like you guys, so be it, call me a troll. But you guys lost to USF, at home, as a ranked team. Sorry, but that brings the lolz.
OSU offseason is a LOT different since most people at OSU were clamoring that the program was so squeaky clean. Im not sure youd find a single ND fan on here (since Rock is gone lol) that actually thinks ND has been much of anything the last 20 years. We have had some good runs and some good teams. But it isnt as if we have been saying National Title or Bust. We know we got a long way to go. The comparison is ridiculous. -

Didn't realize I had to openly like ND to post on their thread after a loss. I guess if ND had won, and I posted, that would make me a troll as well?
You guys are absurd. Not everyone who posts on this thread likes ND. And not everyone is going to be apologetic after a loss. Get over it. Don't like it? Then don't say a negative thing about Ohio State on Ohio State threads. But guess what, you guys do, and I don't care, because it's part of fandom. So don't act like all of a sudden I'm this huge troll because I don't like ND and I find it funny you guys lost a game you had no business losing.
tl;dr
But at least you didn't post shirtless pics of yourself. -

Be negative all you want. Thats cool with ANYONE on here. BE negative about the plays, the players, the coaching ALL OF IT. But dont just bring straight trolling like you did.lhslep134;882496 wrote:So will I admit to posting on a ND thread, as someone who openly doesn't like ND, after ND lays a massive egg in their place on opening day? Big difference between talking about a team you dont like in a way that can actually add something to the thread. -
lhslep134Laley, read my last post and I think you'll understand more. It has much less to do with you guys and much more to do with my friends from HS that are giant douchey ND fans. For the most part, you guys are pretty realistic, which is much more than I can say about them.
Look, anything negative I'm going to say about ND is going to be construed as trolling even if it's something objective like this: "Look, ND is a going to be really talented once they get their $hit together, but right now they're playing like $hit and lost to a team they had no business losing to".
If that makes me a troll, you guys can feel a lot better about yourselves by calling me a troll. As I see it, I'm just as entitled to post on this thread as anyone else and I happen to think it's funny you guys lost to a team you shouldn't have. -

Great post. -
karen lotzMy biggest issue with lhs' trolling is that its Saturday night, he is in Arizona, he has a newly sculpted (sort of) body that he has no problems taking pictures of to post on a message board, and he isn't out trying to get some.

There were at least 3 other times Floyd was wide open and Crist didn't even look at him. But yeah, that missed slant on 3rd down was huge. Tommy rarely misses those throws. -

well, if you had said that, Id agree. I wouldnt bust you up at all. I cant speak for anyone else, but that kind of talk is fine by me. I just dont like shit that deliberately stirs the pot and takes away from great football talk.lhslep134;882515 wrote:Laley, read my last post and I think you'll understand more. That isn't trolling because every Notre Dame fan on here has said the same thing. They played like shit. I mean even Tiger2003 managed to discuss the game in a civil manner.lhslep134;882515 wrote:Look, anything negative I'm going to say about ND is going to be construed as trolling even if it's something objective like this: "Look, ND is a going to be really talented once they get their $hit together, but right now they're playing like $hit and lost to a team they had no business losing to". -
bradmaynardI can't believe Theo pissed down his leg like that. Also, either that punter was kicking well in to the exosphere or our punt protection is piss poor. I understand we went after a few of those kicks, but that was inexcusable. Regardless Theo's all around play was inexcusable. I can't believe they didn't at least give Goodman a shot at punt returns.

no joke, at times I had to reread his handle to make sure it was him. I wasn't here to discuss the game, I was at a tailgate. Next time I'll make sure to post my negative comments DURING the game and not AFTER, otherwise I'd be trolling.karen lotz;882529 wrote:That isn't trolling because every Notre Dame fan on here has said the same thing. Green GiggyGray has got to hold the rock from the one foot line - totally changed the whole complexion of that game. Don't care if I ever see him or Riddick in a game again this season. Never cared for either of them. As far as Crist, it is apparent that the team just doesn't seem to respond to him for whatever reason(s). He is now 4-6 as a starter, and as someone mentioned earlier, glad he is working towards that degree.
It's like Charlie Brown and the football year after year... -
Hamp89I'm pretty sure Theo will lose the punt return job. He just isn't comfortable back there. That fumble shook him up for the rest of the game.

Letting that alcohol get to your head eh? It's 7 at night, what do you want me to be doing other than drinking and watching college football? Relax a little bit there, bro.karen lotz;882518 wrote:My biggest issue with lhs' trolling is that its Saturday night, he is in Arizona, he has a newly sculpted (sort of) body that he has no problems taking pictures of to post on a message board, and he isn't out trying to get some. -

haha, Im stone sober with work at 6am and even I didnt put together the time change. Then again, I had the wrong math at 23-7...so maybe it just isnt my day.lhslep134;882541 wrote:Letting that alcohol get to your head eh? SportsAndLadyI missed this shirtless pic lol
and lep, ND had no business losing to USF? Not sure I agree with that. Yes they should have won, but USF is a good team.
