Might have to wait until next season right now to see it happen again

And once again, MSU lost against OSU.

You cannot dominate just one area of the game. You need an overall effort to beat the best team in the nation.

So you weren't one of the people saying that Wisky only beat OSU because of 3 pt shooting?

Nope. Taylor had one of the best stretches of basketball that I've witnessed this season.

Both teams played great basketball, 50% shooting from both. Rebounds, assists, and turnovers all within two of team totals. OSU had the better FT % and Wisky shot better from deep.

Overall, great game by two tough teams.

Care enough? Playing in title game? Come on man...have you ever played sports? lol

There is no way Penn State is not in the NCAA tournament now even if they lose tomorrow. Still, PSU played us tough in Columbus, and Battle is a guy that can go off for 40 any given day. Hopefully we don't give up another Taylor/Moore performance.

PSU should be in before MSU. That I do know. Whether that will happen if they lose tomorrow to OSU..who knows.

    Theyre both safely in

MSU more safe than PSU probably

2 combined points for the Nix/Sherman/Payne/Roe 4-headed monster. Overwhelming!

OK, I'm done with that now.

Still have no idea where to rank the bubble teams. Clemson, Va Tech, MSU, and Bama all going down today. Penn State helps themselves but may have been behind all 4 of those teams prior to today's action. I thought they needed to do a little bit more after yesterday, and this game may push them over the hump in my opinion.

Going to be a tough decision for the selection committee. Of course PSU could make it 1 choice easier for them tomorrow.

UM, PSU, and MSU all in with OSU/Purdue/Wisky.

Illinois out and headed to the NIT>

    I agree.

Illinois should be safely in before either of those teams in my opinion.

They beat UNC and Gonzaga, as well as Oakland and Northern Colorado (not necessarily "quality" wins but conference winners and NCAA tournament teams so they'll probably still get credit for that from the committee). They went 2-2 against PSU and MSU, and also beat Wisconsin and Michigan.

I guess you could go with any of the 3 depending on what you value the most.

Illinois is safely in. The Big Ten should have 7 teams safely in, but it looks like Lunardi still has Penn State in his last 4 in. The only bubble team other than Penn State with 5 top 50 wins is USC, but they have also lost to 6 teams ranked over 100 and are 19-14, worse than Penn State's record. There is no bubble team out there that can match Penn State's resume, so if they miss out it is because the committee couldn't bring themselves to put 7 Big Ten teams in there.

Illinois is NOT safely in. The Big 10 gets 6, not 7. If you take Illinios, who do you take out?
  • centralbucksfan
Not sold MSU is in. Especially after today. Not a good loss with the way hey looked today. 14 losses on the season. They are on bubble at BEST.
  • september63
Lunardi has both Mich and Mich St in. Neither is even on the bubble.

What do you mean who do you take out? They are already in. What bubble team has a better resume than Illinois' 2 top 25 wins, 5 top 50 wins, 11-11 vs. the top 100, 16 SOS, 2 bad losses, and 8 wins against teams in Lunardi's current projected field?

The Big Ten should get 7 in. But I really don't think MSU deserves to be in, so I hope they get left out if one of them has too.

12 of those losses are to NCAA tourney teams. Plus Illinios and Iowa.
  • september63
Illinios shouldnt get in losing 10 of their last 16. Yet, if Villanova get in? Maybe they should.
  • Cleveland Buck
Recent performance is no longer an official criterion for the selection committee.

Lol do you still have a bias against MSU from your days back on JJ and your arguments with Sparty

LOL...who cares, they are still losses. Hell, if a team went 0-30, and all 30 were NCAA teams, would it matter!? I don't give a shit what anyone says, MSU is on the bubble. Lunardi is good...but he isn't the one picking the NCAA! And he isn't always right! 19-14 record, with some of the losses they have...they are not a gimmie to the NCAA.

;) Not at all. I just don't believe they are deserving. Not many 19-14 teams get bids. They will probably get in based on the fact they are MSU. But not deserving IMO.
