You aren't making any point. You are just ignoring what happened and talking like it could never happen. Facts, MSU > OSU in the paint, it was a 5 point game with 2:20 left and a battle until that point and MSU made some costly turnovers and a Tech on Green -

5 point game with 2:20 left -
SportsAndLadyLJ;709329 wrote:yeah, 3 and 4 games ago. Didn't know 2 games over a week ago were "lately" when OSU just played 2 games.
To me, "lately" means 3-5 games. -

MSU 18 points in the paint

Tell me why they shouldn't worry?
The comments are either from the blind homers you mentioned or from people who haven't seen a Michigan State game all year and just assume they suck because they play in the Big Ten and have 13 losses. Anyone who knows the game knows that Sparty would give most teams trouble inside if they are on top of their game. -

good for you -
devil1197OSU - W
MSU - L
Stats don't lie -

Agreed. It's the inconsistency that has killed MSU. -

OSU beat Purdue by 23 going away, no way Purdue could beat OSU....
Oh wait -

superb even? -
MulvaMy point is that basing a team's overall capability in any aspect on a single game and using that as a prediction of what will happen again is sofa king we todd ed.
Penn State could make the whole thing moot though. -

Oh wait
Right now MSU has to win, so we could continue this argument IF they win. -
SportsAndLadyLJ;709345 wrote:superb even?
Actually, splendiferous.
And yes, I googled 'synonyms for superb' -
LJ
I never said MSU WOULD beat OSU if they played, but they did it once against OSU, there is no reason to think they couldn't do it again. MSU is a team that has always dominated OSU in the paint.Mulva;709347 wrote:My point is that basing a team's overall capability in any aspect on a single game and using that as a prediction of what will happen again is sofa king we todd ed.
Well yeah. And if OSU can keep the pace up against PSU, it would be a fun game to watch from an OSU fan perspectivePenn State could make the whole thing moot though. -

splendid ole chap -
devil1197Eh, OSU already beat PSU twice this season.
Won't be a fun game, just moot as we have a #1 seed locked up. -

Delvon Roe: 7 games scoring 2 points or less
Adreian Payne: 20 games scoring 2 points or less
Garrick Sherman: 16 games scoring 2 points or less
Derrick Nix: 17 games (that he actually played in) scoring 2 points or less
It's too bad they are never on top of their game inside then, huh?
I'll ask again... are you a Michigan State fan? Because if any post smacks of 'blind homerism', that's the one. -

Cleveland Buck is a pretty big OSU fan. -

What on earth does this information prove? -
LJCleveland Buck;709359 wrote:What on earth does this information prove?
That there's no way MSU could dominate OSU inthe paint, even though they already have once this year. -
devil1197Dominating in one area won't, and has PROVEN, to not correlate into W's.
MSU can dominate the paint again the same way and OSU could/will probably win.
So keep talking about pointless topics. OSU is the better overall team from top to bottom -
MulvaCleveland Buck;709359 wrote:What on earth does this information prove?
If you honestly can't figure out how not being able to score in the post proves that a team lacks a post presence (and thus isn't going to 'outskill' anyone in the post, the entire argument from the beginning), then I have absolutely no idea what to say to you.
I never said a single thing about MSU overpowering or out rebounding Ohio State down low. The word I quoted was outskill. MSU doesn't have a single player that is going to make you pay down low. They LACK POST SKILL. It is well known to be the biggest weak link of the team. I'm not sure how much clearer I could possibly make that. Every post player on the team is more likely to go scoreless than to score double digits. -
september63Penn State is rolling. What will you guys argue about now?
-
devil1197I can't wait MSU's post game to dominate OSU.
Might have to wait until next season right now. -
LJseptember63;709393 wrote:Penn State is rolling. What will you guys argue about now?
If OSU will care enough to play as well as they can against PSU. PSU knows they can play with OSU (69-66) and may need to win the Big Ten to get into the Dance.
