All the other games they won were from the other players on the team. He has done nothing more than played average IMO. Any descent QB would win the games he has because of the overall team defense and coaching. He has been nothing but trouble off the field and I think it is time for OSU fans to move on. Beating Michigan is not a huge accomplishment anymore and let's face it, that's all he has going for him. They won Big 10 tittles before him and he is just keeping pace and not making the team better IMO. Let Miller come in and see what he can do.
cool, obviously a michigan fan would want us to "move on" from the best player on our team. -

if you think he is the best player on your team your don't watch football much. -

without him, we would lose 5 games, easy. No other player would have that big of an impact on our team. how has he been "all trouble since he's been here"..ok he's said some dumb things recently and the tattoo/selling incident. This has happened in the last month, not over a course of 3 years. I'd much rather have him doing that stuff than robbing frats, getting DUIs, assaulting girlfriends, etc. -

Ok so who is the best? Also, what other "trouble" has Pryor gotten himself into off the field? -

Agreed he has not been that bad off the field but yes there are several guys who make a bigger impact than he does. It just so happens they have guys behind them that can play as well where Pryor is the only guy. clearly the QB gets a lot of love because of stats but OSU has some great WR's that make some impressive grabs. I just think there are other players on the OSU team that play their position better then he plays his. -
bo shemmy3337The whole defensive front dominated every team they played other than Wisconsin.

What players? Who made the clutch play on 4th in the Iowa game?
The receivers who had he drops in the Wisky game? -

Again he is not a bad QB but he is not great either. You gave one example where he made a good play in the entire year when they really needed him to which makes my point. They never need him to make a huge play because the rest of the team is good enough to beat teams no matter who the QB is.(granted he is a decent qb)
All I am saying is the team is not better then what they were before he got there. -

I agree, he is an amazing talent physically, but poor decisions will always keep him from being great -

Um he made plays all damn season...did you even watch? wtf does your last statement even mean? We had Boeckman before Pryor and he was overrated IMO....a stiff.bo shemmy3337;620194 wrote:Again he is not a bad QB but he is not great either. 196-298 2551 yards, 25 TDs (first int he Big 10), 11 INTs, 639 yards rushing and 4 TDs
Thats decent?
I'm not defending his current situation and I actually think he is a total dumbass. But is is easily our best player IMO and much better than "decent." -

in all honesty, look at osu the past decade..many big ten championships, national title appearances, national title, bcs appearances and wins..its hard to top that. -

I understand but how many tittle appearances has he had in 3 years in comparison to who was there before him? Almost any other QB in the big ten would put up better numbers than what he has with what is around him and with the ability to have faith in your defense at any time. -
bo shemmy3337He was supposed to be the one that got them over the hump and win national tittles, before he got there they could not win The Big Game, remember? OSU has yet to get in the big game with him there. Not all his fault obviously but he is no where near the QB as most OSU fans think he is.

30-4, 1-1 in BCS bowl games with his senior year to go, that he just fucked up.bo shemmy3337;620230 wrote:He was supposed to be the one that got them over the hump and win national tittles, before he got there they could not win The Big Game, remember? I had zero issues with his development and performances until this latest off the field issue. -

I can only think of one game where he cost us..and that was against Purdue. I blame the Wisconsin game, USC(at home), and the BCS bowl against Texas on the defense. -

He is not costing you games but he is not winning you games all by him self either. If he is not on the team at all next year they still win at least 9 games. When jake locker is gone how many games will Washington win? or the kid from Standford? What happened when Tim Tebow left at Florida. OSU has a much more talent than what people give them credit for as a team. If he would have choose Michigan, he would not be in the sugar bowl right now and you can take that to the bank. He is not great, OSU is. -

well michigan has some pretty good recruiting classes if im not mistaken..and you have denard, who is supposedly better. Why arent you in the sugar bowl? Coaching. There is a pretty general agreement that tressel doesnt use pryor to the best of his ability. Pryor even knows that himself. One of the big reasons he chose OSU is to play in a pro-style offense and develop himself as a passer to have a chance to be a QB in the pros. -

You are REALLY mistaken, not many defensive studs in previous or future classes. RichRod's problem, he thought he could win in the Big Ten with the same caliber of defensive players he had at WV. Win games 40-30. WRONG! -

Agreed, nothing was said about Michigan at all on my part yet he brought them up. Denard was not supposed the savior and most thought he would be a slot WR at first anyway. Pryor has been god ever sense he chose to go to the university of Ohio state and he has not come close to the hype IMO. -
Big GainHe was a "god" in highschool, but only a neophyte would say he's been a "god" at Ohio State. Hell, I've seen more people on here say he should play Tight End or Wideout instead of QB. HOWEVER, he is the 11th rated QB in the country.

Which is why I said he is not that good of a QB and is certainly not the best player on the team IMO. -

So with a 30-4 record not being "close to the hype" what would be need to be? Undefeated? lol...you are reaching. -

No you are by posting the TEAMS record. HE is not the reason they have been 30-4, He is a good player but that is it and there is no way you can not see that. In big games he is average at best with the exception of the Oregon game last year. Again good player but no where near as good as people think he is. -
thedynasty1998The 30-4 argument is just lazy. Come up with something better to defend Pryor. You can use the 30-4 record on several players on that team, that doesn't mean they are great. The 30-4 record has more to do with OSU just having superior talent most games and playing in a conference they can dominate.
When you break down what Pryor has done in the 10 biggest games of his career, it is very very underwhelming. -
