Yeah but Michigan State beat Wisconsin convincingly. Remember?

Yes Jordo, my post was in response to the quoted part of his post. I was showing that's a bad argument because it's easily reversed.

I get a kick out of the LSU / tOSU talk about 2007. First of all, I believe LSU was preseason #1 and tOSU was picked for 3rd or 4th in the Big Ten so obvisously there was a difference in talent. Then, because other teams sucked that year they all fell apart and tOSU got into the championship game unexpectedly. LSU was the better team playing at home (80 miles I know, lets play in Cleveland next time we play LSU in a bowl).

SEC is the best conference but for some reason Arkansas isn't part of this elite conference. I can bet you that if they win, SEC chest thumpers will be on here in force doing their SEC, SEC, SEC chant.

ESPN has released the list of announcers for their games. Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge, and Holly Rowe will be calling this game (than God it's not McDonough and Millen - although they are doing the ESPN Radio call. I actually like Nessler and Blackledge and think they are easily the second best crew behind Musberger and Herbie.

Everyone knows the SEC won't come this far north :)

Yeah I like Blackledge a lot. He does a good job. I preferred when they had him paired with Mike Patrick though. I know a lot of people don't like Patrick, but he has always been one of my favorite announcers

Looks like Christian Bryant will be ready to go. Actually he was healthy for the UM game, but hadn't gotten enough practice time in to play.

This will really help against Arkansas, as it gives us another good cover man on the field.

So 80 miles away IN THE SAME STATE isn't a home game? If Ohio State were playing in Cleveland against LSU, are you seriously telling me you'd consider that a neutral site?

There's a reason LSU has only won two national titles -- and both happened in-state, instead of traveling to more hostile territory.

    Okay, enough of this.

Either talk about Ohio State and Arkansas or GTFO.

As for the game...Ohio State's defensive line needs to play its best game of the year, because if Mallet gets time to find secondary receivers, he'll toast a secondary that's already playing a few folks who are only starting because better people are out for the year.

Anyone know how good the Arkansas OL is? I know their offense has a 1,000 yard rusher, but like so many conferences, the SEC also has some pretty shaky defenses where players can rack up big numbers.

Sorry they have 3 legit titles and possibly 4 more where they were recognized by some type of poll as #1.
Yeah, thats the only reason why they won those titles, it wasnt because they were better. rollseyes.
At the 03 and 07 pace, the championship will be in New Orleans again next year and LSU will have a very tough team. Maybe another "home game" title coming up.
Back on topic though. Blame cbf for turning this topic around.

This will end up being the best BCS game of all

Ohio State will hold Mallet down early, but I think Mallet will pull it out with a TD in the last minute

    Arkansas 35
    Ohio State 31

I'm glad Bryant will be back.

I'm not looking forward to Torrence getting torched all night long, but it will happen.

Hopefully Travis Howard picks up where he's left off with his great play. He helped the secondary out so much down the stretch this year.

Just curious... how many Ohio State losses have you predicted in a row now? And how many times have you been wrong. Every week you pick against Ohio State... I'm not sure why you even post on these threads.

Blame me when you TROLLED in running your mouth and stirring the pot as usual ? Ya, ok. And if you want to talk about the PAST..I'd be happy to compare OSU tradition to LSU. ;)

Bryant will not effect Torrences playing time he will still be in every down. It will allow Hines to move back ot Safety and hopefully get OJ's ass off the field. I would rather have Gant out there instead of him at this point. Optimally I would put Howard at the star Hines and Bryant at safety. Torrence has played the coverage he has been asked to play well. He isn't a stud but he gets the job done IMO. Our problem is out of position safeties who don't make the play (except for Hines and Barnett before he got hurt).

Eh, you're only 1-11 with your OSU predictions this season, why not make it 1-12?

Exactly right about Torrence, he plays what he is made to play. Reminds me of Dustin Fox when he would seemingly give up 10 catches a game, but they were only like 6-8 yard plays. I also think that a secondary of Torrence, Chekwa, Hines, Bryant, and Howard is what we need on the field.

Thinking about it! You going to Manny's for the game? I emailed their manager, haven't gotten a confirmation yet.
