Sugar Bowl: #6 Ohio State vs. #8 Arkansas - January 4, 8:30pm

    Yeah I'm kinda irritated I have to miss my first day of classes next quarter to broadcast the game. I only have class Tuesday/Thursday so luckily I won't miss class that Wednesday driving back.

    It will be interesting to see what the OSU offense does in this game.

    Obviously its always been a heavy dose of the running game come November for the Buckeyes the last couple years. But Pryor was unleashed last season against Oregon and I think the talent is better around him this year on offense.

    I'd expect different packages to get Saine in open space with the passing game and some looks to get Brown the ball also in open space.

    The defensive line just needs to get some pressure on Mallet. I don't think the secondary is terrible but they aren't the best part of the team. They make the big plays when needed but our line hasn't really gotten the type of pressure that is needed.

    I really hope the D is aggressive and blitzes alot early. They have to make Mallet go through his reads under pressure, as he's shown to not be a great decision maker under pressure. I have faith that the OSU defense will hold down Arkansas pretty well.

    I look for OSU to score more points than Arkansas, thus giving the Buckeyes the edge.

    The SEC's 2-4 are pretty even (Ark, LSU, Bama). And if you really look at the season, Auburn is not much better than these 3 teams either. They just had perfect luck when they needed it.
    I think OSU wins this game and would of had a closer/tougher game vs. LSU and Bama.

    Not trying to blow the game p at all. It doesn't need that when its already arguably the second best mathup next to the title game. I believe Ark beat LSU and I believe Ark has a QB..something LSU doesn't. As I said, if LSU had any kind of body behind the center...I think they would be very good. But they don't. I honestly think OSU would have handled LSU as LSU would have had a hard time coming by points vs a decent defense(something not many SEC teams have this year BTW/. I was sercretly wishing it was LSU as I think OSU had a better chance vs LSU, as I mentioned above. Bama with 3 losses isn't even worth discussing to be honest. I think Arkansas has a better chance of beating OSU than either of those two teams. But SPIN as you choose..you will anyway.

    It doesnt matter if Arky beat LSU, didnt Bama beat Arkansas? Different teams play different against different teams. LSU is more talented than both, but played horrible vs. Ark at Ark.     I love these SEC shills who want to see their teams play AT HOME and then act like it's not an advantage.

    LSU laid points on a very young OSU team when they played, and much of it was because of self inflicted wounds by Ohio State (penalties being the largest gift).

    Oh and did I mention that game as AT HOME for LSU?

    Put LSU in a neutral setting and they haven't won a national title in their entire history.

    Mistake #1...Ark beat LSU, period. Game over, you lost. Ark proved they were better, period. If you want to argue this, then I will argue the 2007 title game basically played on your home field. You can't have it both ways. So...STFU
    Mistake #2. Comparing 2007 to this year. OSU, like LSU..were LUCKY to get in the title game. Any other year, like this year...they probably aren't even ranked in top 10. 2007 was watered down.
    And please stop with the schedule crap. Who in the hell did LSU beat that was worth a crap besides Bama, which ended up with 3 losses and out of the top 15. And please don't use UNC or Big East WVU as examples. They are joke and you know it. Your team played two tough teams who scored a combined 55 pts against your vaunted defense and LOST both games. So what difference does the schedule make if you can't win those two games. YOu beat who you should have. OSU beat who they should have as well.

    It also didn't help that Boeckman was in the beginning stages of his meltdown. Towards the end of that season he really started playing poorly and continued until he was finally unseated after the USC game. I remember he got interviewed one time and said that it was beginning to seem like their were 13-14 defenders on the field.

    Your opinion proves nothing, Ohio State proved they are BCS worthy. Also, MSU beat Wisky who beat OSU (I wouldn't say that waxed them, it was convincing though) but OSU beat Iowa who did WAX MSU 37-6. OSU got into the BCS over MSU, not only because of money, but because they are the better team. MSU looked unimpressive against mediocore teams like Purdue, Northwestern and Penn St. (just as LSU looked unimpressive against Tennessee, lucky to have beat them and UNC).

    Really? Exposed constantly? You really are a dumbass. In 2006 they beat the #2 team twice (Michigan and Texas). So in 2006 OSU's record was 2-1 against top 10 teams (loss to Florida). 2007 the only top 10 team they played was LSU and they lost, taking the total to 2-2. In 2008 they lost 3 top 10 teams, 2-5. In 2009 they were 3-1 agaisnt top 10 teams (wins against Iowa, Oregon and Penn ST.; loss to USC), bringing the total to 5-6. Is that getting exposed?

    I forgot to add that they were 1-1 this season against top 10 opponents. (Miami and Wisconsin). I used rankings when the teams met.
