    My predictions?
    L Penn State
    W Illinois
    W Purdue
    L Wisconsin
    L Ohio State

This will end their season with a 7-5 record, which will probably be enough to hold RichRod around for another year, and even if they loose to Illinois, 6-6 with a bowl trip, win or loss, I think they keep him around. If they get swept from the remainder of the season, however, Richrod is done, no question.

Even with the prediction Michigan still has a losing record in conference, which at this point I believe is more important to those in power at UM rather than the overall record. Assuming they lose their final two games they need to win the next three just to finish with a .500 record in conference. I think that may not be good enough to keep him around. However, I also think that Michigan doesn't want to get a Notre Dame like reputation when it comes to coaches and can a guy after three years. So if they lose out he's definitely gone, but if he wins at least two I think it will be just enough to buy him one more year, even though most at the school probably want to get rid of him.

I agree but I do think that Rich Rod does deserve part of the blame for the shitty defense.

Greg Robinson is a terrible coordinator. Thats for sure. RR isn't a bad coach!
New D coordinator and we're in business! Go BLUE!!

Denard gets knocked out for the season this week and BOTH ILL and PUR beat them. Cya Dickie and take that crypt keeper of a wife with you.

I agree, He is the reason they went to a 3-3-5 which is not Robinson bread and butter.

Robinson is a very good coordinator. Playing 8 true freshmen this year is not his fault. He is a proven coordinator and he is forced to run RR's 3-3-5.

    Lmao wow

They would beat Purdue with Forcier. I don't know if they can beat Illinois with either Forcier or Denard.

RR hired Robinson so he is responsible for the results, as for playing 8 true freshmen, yes 8 have played but most do not start and rarely have more than 2 or 3 been on the field at the same time. Michigan, I think has enough offense to finish 8-4 and get a decent Bowl game. Is this enough to save RR? probably but next season he must contend for a Big Ten championship and beat Ohio State or he is done.

Idk what it matters about Forcier, Denard is playing this week
  • sportchampps
Michigan should probably worry more about Ill then PSU IMO

is how I see it. I really can see Denard getting hurt in the coming weeks. I'm surprised he hasn't been hurt (more seriously) yet.

The only for sure game I see them winning is pudue... they could easily go 1-4 or 2-3

Michigan has enough offense to give anyone fits, I'm no Michigan fan but I think most of you are underestimating them. The biggest weakness in their defense is pass defense, Illinois can't pass so they will struggle to score enough points to beat them. Purdue is just awful, enough said there. Penn State doesn't score a ton of points either so Michigan is 50-50 on that one, as for OSU and Wisconsin, they are both much better but a couple turnovers and who knows. Michigan I think most likely goes 3-2, 2-3 at worst to end 8-4 or 7-5.

Michigan is 50th in rushing defense.

    54th ;)

And Penn State is 52nd. Michigan should have a good offensive day against PSU.

I think Michigan beats PSU, Illinois and Purdue. Turnovers will be the key against Wiscy and OSU.

This is a pretty good assessment, but I do think that Illinois could beat Michigan. Michigan does match up rather well against them though, so I will just say that Michigan ends up 3-2 and finishes the year 8-4.

No question Illinois could beat Michigan. If Michigan does end up 8-4, then I think everything is on pace. Most on this forum predicted 4-6 wins.

I did predict 6 wins, but then again, I thought UCONN and ND would field average teams this year.

Yeah I think most at least picked UM to lose one of those. UConn has certainly been a disappointment.

I think Michigan can take Penn State, tonight. Then take Illnois. And i also believe they can give wisconsin a game..
    GO BLUE!!

...if they can win at least two more games, and a win over OSU would go a long way as well--but that's asking a lot

At 8pm last night, I thought he was safe. At 8am today, not so much.

I'm afraid Purdue is the only win left. 6-6 and 2-6 in the Big 10 in his 3rd year isn't gonna fly. The only thing that might keep him here is David Brandon, the AD. But Brandon will get a lot of pressure to fire him.

If he does stay, it must be under the condition that he fires (most of) the defensive staff. Problem is, bringing in a new DC is not going to immediately fix the defense.
