Week 8: (10) Ohio State def. Purdue, 49-0

dwccrewI've used other people's student tickets and never had to show an ID, but this was 5 years ago and I'm unsure if they enforce it more now.

sjmvsfscs08If you have an ID you're pretty much golden.
Last night while working at the union for some scholarship dinner Gordon Gee walked in just as we cleared everything and did his usual meet and greet with everyone. I'm standing there clearing the food off the table and he puts his arm around me (and I'm 6'2 haha) and starts just chatting with me--he had no intention of walking around with all of the brown-nosing folk waiting for him. haha So then a coworker come over and says "Dr. Gee, are we going to win this Saturday?" to which he fervidly replied "We better, or I'll fire the damn coach! .............but no no, seriously we're going to win going away. We need some revenge from last year I tell you. You know I couldn't even watch the game last week, it gets me too nervous. When I'm not actually at the stadium I go home and drink some wine in my pajamas while watching a good movie. I need a damn Valium or something."
cool story bro I know. But Gee is one funny dude. -

That's truly pretty cool. Gee is probably the best President in the NCAA. -
LeonardoBoom Herron with a touchdown run

LeonardoOhio State punts but recovers Purdue's fumble
OSU ball at the Purdue 40-yard line -
ts1227Good call by the refs on that punt return
-
that_guyOhio State's second posession features mistakes by the same who made tons last week- Posey dropped a ball he should have caught, and Shugarts whiffs on a block- he needs to sit until his foot is a little better. Luckily Purdue muffes the punt and it's back to Boom running like a man possessed...

gerb131Nice to see we are back to doing what we should have done for the last 30 yrs and run that ball down peoples throats.

Well, it's easy to do against Purdue. -
Pick6Im glad Hall is getting some carries.

Should be easy for us against most teams. But we seem to think we can throw it when we are clearly a ground attack team first. Hurt us vs Sconsin and many other games. -
rydawg5good throw
-
Leonardo3rd and 12 for OSU at their own 8-yard line and they pick up 22 yards to the 30
-
rydawg5nice throw to boren, nice throw to posey
-
Pick6Pryor is doing a good job extending the play the last 3 plays

centralbucksfanOur offensive line is brutal to watch at time. All these 5 star players and they seem to always miss one guy, or let someone like Kerrigan just completely dominate them. We will steam rolle Purdue...thats obvious now. But this line still has so many break downs, there really is no excuses. I really believe until Bohlman retires...this is going to be the norm. I have zero faith in him as the oline coach.

gerb131Kerrigan is 1st rounder he should make some plays.

Some, yes. But why don't we have a game plan for him? Double him? Use a RB. Haven't seen it yet. He is just blowing by Shugrats. -

Agreed. It has been good in some parts, but brutal in others. -
SpeedofsandRic Allen hit Boren, what a mismatch on that tackle. Ric was a Buc in high school. I'm still waiting for OJ Ross to get a call on Purdue's offense.

Common man and the Torg are certainly enjoying this. They pretty much loathe Danny Hope. I'm sure this will be dvr'ed and will instantly become a spank bank favorite for them.Hall pounded it in
