No way this goes on Pryor. He's out of the Heisman for sure, but this game is not on Pryor.

Pryor didn't give up 31 points. This game is 100% on the Defense.

And Posey not caring to be there in the first half. Fucking terrible performance by Posey, running the wrong routes, not sitting down, and not going after the ball like he wanted it. That was like 4 big incompletions right there.

    Agree with this too.

I'm not saying those plays alone would have changed the outcome, I just REALLY think that the supposed "star" receiver set the wrong tone for the offense in the first half

when the game was on the line and the bucks had to rely on pryors arm , he folded up like a cheap umbrella in a hurricane.

This is of course bullshit...he didn't have an incompletion in the second half until the 4th quarter, but whatever gets you a stiffy.

He didnt have an incompletion until the 4th quarter...but he still had a pretty bad game

He strung his bad plays together, that sucked no doubt, but the loss is far from being laid at his feet.

Lost in all of the garbage was that I have a new man crush....first is Peyton Hillis, now it is dane sanzenbacher

Idk...when you're a heisman contender at the QB position of the #1 ranked team in the land during a big game....not accounting for any Tds and completely less than 50% of your passes is not acceptable IMO

Edit, he completed exactly 50, oops

That son of a bitch can catch anything within 10 yards of him. Pryor hung him out to dry SEVERAL times and he made the catch flat out every time.

pryor was 14-28 . are you saying that he threw 14 incompletions in the 4th quarter? wow that worse than i thought

Naw...geesh Wiscy held the ball what...10 minutes of the first? I suppose Pryor spotted them 21 himself so he could try playing the Hero card right?

It's hard to complete passes when your receivers don't give a fuck, run wrong routes and don't sit down when they are supposed to

Its also hard when you're throwing it at their ankles on crossing routes. It was just an all around bad game

I don't get the hate for Pryor tonight...I thought he did his best to keep plays alive. Now he did force some things, but I put this loss mainly on the Dline and special teams.

Yes, in the 4th quarter he had some bad throws, but his first few incompletions were mainly on Posey. I honestly think it threw the whole rhythm of the offense off for the first quarter

I wanted to climb thru the screen and beat his ass myself when you knew he was hearing footsteps.

That one pass where Posey just kept running and was supposed to sit down between the linebacker and the safety... OMG I wanted to shove my foot up his ass. That was a HUGE mental error on his part

centralbucksfan;519861 wrote:Bo..I thought you were smarter then this. To think that stats are the determining factor in individual awards is just flat out ignorant. There is SO much more to an award like the Heisman than just stats. There are certain players who LEAD their team. Their presence and leadership lift that team to a level that others are not able to do. There is an uncoachable, inexplainable quality that many players have, that make them who they are. Terry Bradshaw for instance, threw almost as many INT's as TD's in his career. But the guy just flat out WON. His stats were squat. Yet he has what, 4 super bowl rings? Joe Montana didn't exactly light up the world stat wise...but in crunch time, not many were better. Magic Johnson didn't put up unreal stats in college or the pros. He just won. I could go on and on. Big time players, show up in big time games. They rise to the occasion, they make plays, they raise the level of their team when needed. These are NOT stat qualitiess...they are what define great players.
I am not saying Pryor has these or done these. He has on occasion..not often yet. I mean Robinson (who I would have #1), who exactly has he beaten? Finally played a good defense...throws 3 int's. I could nit pick all the top players I am sure.
I'll let the season play out before I think one person is ahead of the other. Yes, stats are part of it. But there are so many variables as others have mentioned. Pryor has played one full season. He is in a system with a fairly conservative coach. OSU under Tressel will never have the #1 stat QB in the country. Others, who throw the ball all over like Petrino...could have a different QB every few years throw up unreal stats. Texas Tech is another example of most recent. Stats can be misleading one way OR the other.
BTW, who gives a shit where a player is drafted, that has ZILCH to do with the Heisman or best college player. THere are MANY Heisman winners who didn't amount to shit in the NFL. Why that was brought up, I have no idea. And I will agree, the Heisman does'n't always go to the best player in the country. Quite often, its the best player on one of the best teams in the country. It is what it is.

I never said that the Award should only be determined using stats just that I wish they had more of an impact than what they currently do. The idea of getting drafted does have a lot to do with who the best player in the country is. I find it very hard to believe that the Heisman Winner(Best player in the country) would have 100 guys selected before him in the draft. Basically saying there is 100 better players. Now does the Heisman have to go number 1? Hell no as teams have certain needs but if there are 100 plus guys ahead of you and 5 or 6 that play the same position as you did there is no way in hell you were the legit best player in the country IMO.

I agree with you that the best player vary rarely wins the award and I find that to be a big time joke.
