9/11: Miami (FL) at Ohio State

  • vball10set
IMO one of the keys to slowing Harris down is by getting a lick on him every time the defense gets the chance. Now nobody knows how many times this will be, because he's elusive and gets rid of the ball. But, I've got to believe that similar to a boxing match, the body blows add up, and this will affect him as the game goes on.

btw, who said that Heacock and Tressel weren't worried ?? they're coaches--they're always worried !!!

OSU better have a better game plan then knocking Jacory down and hopeing he gets hurt

^^^now where did that come from ? LOL

So you're saying that is the game plan you would come up with? it's pretty naive to think that is what the coach with one of the highest winning percentages in D1A came up with.

Embarrassing myself? Because i brought up a valid point, that you ddint pressure marshall but magically you're gonna pressure a much better offensive line?

    Please get over yourself

OSU's defensive line will be fine, considering they will be adding their starting DE to the lineup in Williams.

The Buckeyes played like the #2 team in the nation on Thursday, I am not worried at all about next Saturday. Will they have to play better, yeah but the intensity level will be greater come Saturday.
  • wes_mantooth
I think the Buckeyes win by around 10, but who knows....those special teams could be a disaster.
  • ptown_trojans_1
I'm more cautious going into big games recently, given OSU's records in big games.
That said, I think OSU wins, but by 10 or so. I think Miami's offense will do enough to stay in the game, and Miami's defense will frustrate OSU's line enough to slow them down. Then, there is the special teams factor...
It won't be decided until the start of the 4th in my view. But, again, I'm pretty cautious and didn't see the Bucks exploding on Thursday.

I am thinking 31-21 OSU win.

IMO the Canes are the better faster team. I don't care much for Miami nor Ohio State but the talent the Canes have at WR is where the difference is. Plus the U has a B with the ability to spread the ball out to each one. Jacory will have a big game passing. The Canes DBs better step up though.

Hmmm, where did I hear the Canes were faster than the Buckeyes before? We'll see how fast they are when Saine busts through the 2nd tier of their defense.

Dude, face it you dislike OSU and its okay. Most people do, why because its called jealousy. OSU is a very good football team that has the ability to strike down field within seconds or take 7+ minutes off the clock with the ground and pound. The only slight against OSU right now is special teams, but overall this offense and defense will carry the Buckeyes.

I believe you saw on Thursday what the offense is going to do, there is no doubting that. OSU will run Saine, try to hit the deep ball with the WR's, and just do the normal routes. But what I think the Buckeyes hid was their aggressive defense for next Saturday. I believe you'll see several different blitz packages utlizing our fast LB's and Moeller off the edge. OSU knew they could beat Marshall with a vanialla defense and everyone knows their offensive game plan.

I really think OSU is going to come out and dominate. I really think having Williams back is going to help alot. His speed off the edge, with Heyward is going to be a big boost. The defense did not unload all the rounds in the chamber on defense against Marshall. Playing at The Shoe is going to be a big advantage for the Buckeyes. The defense is going to really come to play and will force Miami into alot of 3rd downs and that is where the different Blitz packages, is going to put pressure on Harris.

This is starting to sound alot like the Rose Bowl, Ohio State is to slow and won't be able to stop the big plays.

Most people dislike OSU due to arrogance, the same reason OSU fans dislike Notre Dame.

I agree 100% wow we actually agree on something. Its not that I hate Notre Dame, they are just not my favorite team in the world. My grandma would probably kill me if I ever said I hate the Irish.

Arrogance? Maybe ND's is arrogance because of the lack of performance, but OSU fans are purely confident in this team because they have put up results.

They are coming off a Rose Bowl victory, return the majority of their starting lineup, and dominated in the season opener looking sharp on offense and defense in a game where they usually look a little off.

lol, confidence and arrogance are different. "ability to strike down field within seconds or take 7+ minutes off the clock with the ground and pound."

What did I say that wasn't true? Sorry you don't like it hear it.
  • karen lotz
lol I'm so jealous right now. Good win over Marshall.

    Ha, exactly.

I stated truthful facts that you don't like to hear. OSU can, with Posey/Dane, hit the long ball or pound out long drives with Pryor/Saine.
  • karen lotz
I'd say Bama has more ability to hit the long ball or pound out long drives. Agree or disagree?

But what has Notre Dame done in the past 20 years?

Here we go again. Why do OSU fans get to decide when football history matters? What did OSU do from 1968 to 2002? They were largely overrated the entire 90s, always losing the big game to take them out of national championship contention. Outside of 2002 where they overachieved greatly, what have they done the last 33 years? Beat Oregon in the Rose Bowl last year?

Actually, counting 2009 and the season opener of 2010, OSU has hit for more 50+ yard pass plays than Bama.

Don't have time to look through the TD scoring drive lengths, but I suppose I can tomorrow.

Cool, my point is a lot of teams can claim to have that ability. You would take Posey/Sanzenbacher (could you not spell that earlier, superfan?) and Saine/Herron over Julio Jones/Maze and Ingram/Richardson? Hell, Notre Dame has comparable if not better talent at the skill positions and they have the ability to score in different ways.

God damn, with all the talent ND has where are the results?

OSU isn't claiming to have the ability, they HAVE the ability. Bama has the ability. You just named the #1 and #2 teams in the nation, I really don't want to see ND's name being in the same post, thanks.
