9/11: Miami (FL) at Ohio State

This thread has turned into a joke, Hell even the Moderator can't stay out of the pissing match!!! Stick to the FUCKING GAME!!!!
My opinion, Ohio St. may have to come from behind in this one. If they get out of the gates fast then I see us putting them away fairly early, something along the lines of 31-14. If we come out slow or have a big turnover early, it could be a long afternoon. However I do see them putting it together in the second half if that happens and the Bucks come out on top. If that happens 28-24.
GO BUCKS!!! Can't Freakin' wait for saturday!!!!!!!

I like OSU by 3-10 points

Friend told me the spread is OSU -9.5.
I figured that will drop a little, but so far I think it is about right.

Big 10 Defensive Player of the Week = Tyler Moeller. Congrats to him. I'm listening to his interview on ESPNU right now.

Yeah, very mature team that has won in big game situations in tough environments. They will handle the Shoe well.

Wow... The '03 Miami team and the '10 Miami team have personalities that are black/white. Don't think I like a modest U team.

What big game has the group of players won? Yes they beat Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Oklahoma last year 2 of the 3 were at home. The Seniors are 0-2 in Bowls. If they are Red Shirt Seniors they finished 7-6 and beat Nevada in a bowl so they are 1-2. They have not won a ACC Championship, they haven't even won there division.

Tiger, that was 100% sarcasm. Devil doesn't think Miami stands any kind of chance.

Traditionally, the Buckeyes have always had trouble with the wide open, pass happy offenses. Throw in a couple of very capable running backs and it could get sticky, but Pryor is a creator also and he can turn broken plays into long gains and I think that Coach Tressel will give Pryor more freedom to create against Miami. I look for the Buckeyes to win a relatively close game. Let's call it 27-17.

I disagree. The bucks have had trouble with really good teams which of course had really good offenses. People tend to only focus on the games they lose, but we've beaten plenty of teams with wide open pass happy offenses.

I really wish Brandon Harris would've came to OSU

I see it that way too. A 10 point win would cover.

Wow there are some Miami haters here. Miami won plenty of big games last year. Most of the core of this team are redshirt sophs and juniors. They have won plenty of games both at home and on the road for how young they are.

Besides Ga Tech, I don't see any "big wins" last year. And as stated they were 7-6 in '08 and lost to Cal in the Emerald bowl. Not to mention in '07 they were 5-7. '06 7-6 with a huge W over Nevada in the MPC Computers Bowl....Woooohooo!!

But don't let these facts get in your way!! "The U" hasn't done anything significant in recent years......WAKE UP!
  • LHSGUY35
Yes because beating Oklahoma a year removed from playing in the national title game wasn't big at all. Beating FSU on the road isn't a big win at all for Miami, you know FSU/Miami is only one of the top 10 best rivalrys in college football.

No one said Miami is lighting up the college football world, but Miami was one of the youngest teams in college football last year and had some pretty good wins. And in 08' the year you said Miami didn't do much, well they beat Va Tech at home who went onto to win the Orange Bowl. I'd say this young Miami team have won some pretty good games.

Maybe for Miami beating FSU was big, but beating a team that finished 7-6 the first game of the year doesn't translate to a "big win" to me. FSU, like Miami, hasn't done shit in recent years. You're reaching.

I can play this game too......They also lost to NC State that year...the same NC State who lost to Duke.

Okay, you said Miami hasn't had any big wins. Miami was one of the youngest teams in the country in 09 and in 08. And at times it showed, but at times they also showed to be a good football team with some good wins both at home and on the road.

How am I reaching? You claim Ga Tech is the only good win they have in the past couple of years. I bring up the time they beat Va Tech who not only won the ACC but the Orange Bowl and that's called reaching?
