Not saying Notre Dame wouldn't be a good place to go, but looking at their wins-losses, I don't really know how you could argue that they don't suck.

This was a rumor that was started by Cunningham just to get under people's skin! It isn't true and won't be true! What benefit would Kelly have to go to ND besides money?

national fame, power, social status, to be considered one of the best coaches of all time depending on the outcome, you know just little things like that...

At UC Kelly can win or be at the top of the league every year, has a great talent base right here and throughout the Big East to recruit from, and can continue to have an opportunity to be in a BCS bowl game every year to the point that one day as he continues to build this program they will name the field and or stadium after him.

a talent base in cincy or a talent base across the country? which is more appealing? idiot.

Maybe a conference championship equals picking your butt to you, but I'd say a lot of college players would beg to differ. The fact is, if you do happen to have a bad loss or 2 OOC you can still regroup and aim at something in a conference. Without 1 it's a lost season

if you want to believe that go right ahead. however, i hardly doubt pryor came to ohio state to win the "big ten championship" he came to ohio state to win national titles, just like most high profile players. regardless, whether notre dame plays in a "league" or not has no impact on whether brian kelly takes the job, so therefore his initial point was "pointless".

and when one bashes notre dames schedule it is only appropriate to bring up ohio states, to offer perspective on the situation. notre dame and ohio state both play fine schedules, not too hard, not too easy. so to bash one or to bash other is futile. they are relatively the same each year...especially this season.

Not real sure where you are going here. If that is a dig at Ohio State, it wasn't very successful. The Mtn West isn't a terrible conference. They have Utah, BYU, and TCU. 3 very good teams.

With the games they play USC, BC, Michigan, Michigan state, and so on I don not think they will ever go undefeated again. With the way the BCS is set up if they don't go undefeated or only 1 loss with less than two other programs undefeated they will not be in the national championship game. There is no margin for error at all.

If you can't see that since Brian Kelly has been at UC that there have been more and more kids come to cincy that wouldn't normally have, and that with the recognition nationally that this team has gotten the last two years will not help to continue to bring in better and better kids then you sir are the IDIOT!

Look at these rankings as they take in to consideration a week by week rating of wins and losses, a power ranking of schedules so to speak. ND is a full 11 spots higher than OSU in SOS. Again, this takes in to consideration who your opponents won and lost to.

^^^^^That's fine and dandy but is it a pre-season type ranking or does it change week to week? The link I posted clearly goes on a week to week basis, just like when you defeat a ranked team early in the year and that team finishes the season unranked, standard protocol around here is when that happens, it wasn't a very good win.

Changes, it's a 1 level type system with the team rankings playing a role.

^^^^Interesting. The site I posted doesn't take in to consideration the teams actual ranking. If that were the case Miss St. wouldn't be ranked as having the toughest schedule.
