BRFAh, sweet victory!
And that's right...bring on the Titans. Get the train running in the right direction! Go Riders! -
CCRollyIn the immortal words of Lou Brown from Major League..."If we win tomorrow, it'll be 2 in a row...that's called a winning streak. It's happened before."
-
BRFQKT is saying 54-39. Lex beats Woo 63-58 (ya forgot to chime that in CC!)
-
THE4RINGZThe Orrville v. Triway game sounds like a snooze fest. What a difference a year makes

BRFDon't listen to that Gang Ster behind the curtain!

So? And don't forget that you are "about" my age, gangsta! I wonder if some young.pup like...oh...say...Pitman would agree with your statement?
P.S. - I hope your "New Pittsburgh" Steelers lose! Ha ha! -
riders1Tusky Valley beat triway tonight by the way, and what a great night it was for a Rider road trip to the valley, definitely not the team that played W.Holmes and Ashland last week. Neer, Landis, and Smith with some quality varsity minutes and 3 freshmen up for the jv's. Good defensive effort but still toooooooo many unforced turnovers and missed foul shots. We have to take care of the ball better and make the free shots when they give them to us.
And GO PACKERS -
RedRider1i take it from a text i received from PITman that Triway lost. Not used to these 2 teams meeting with a total of 9 wins....but i agree with BRF. It's always a big deal. Yeah it aint the same as last year, but it can't be that way every year.
-
riders1triway loses at home to Tusky Valley, so they are 4-10 against our mighty 5-9 team.
-
OQBI'm sure not having school all week was part of the reason for CF not doing so well....but none the less a win is a win, and something we need to build on!
A nice win over Triway might give everyone some basketball fever and liven things up for the rest of the season.
Go Riders, and Go Packers!! -

Go Titans! -
Red ZoneGood Job last night Riders!!!! Big rival game tonight...Beat the Purple!!!
-
Old RiderThe Riders win this one big IMO. At home and playing Triway...the kids will be fired up.
I look for Max and Wasson to have big games and hopefully a couple of, as Joe Tate would say,:..."Down the lane with a right hand jam"! -
BRFriders1: Who were last night's starters and do you have any "ball park" scoring stats?
-
grandpa
Wasson was terrific with his hard work inside and out. Balanced play from the bench kept the momentum going in our favor. The sophmores up from jv saw a lot of playing time especially Neer who scored and played strong defense along with Smith who hit a 3ptr..BRF;665501 wrote:riders1: Who were last night's starters and do you have any "ball park" scoring stats? -

Wasson, Pirman, Winters, Graber, and Ray started. Wasson was the man early and had 9 of the 1st 18 pts, when it was 18 to 7 he had 9 and the Colts had 7 total pts. Seemed like Neer and Landis were in early, Smith later, Turner very little and Mitchell not in until late in the 4th. Like 19 turnovers and it seemed too many were just lazy, not paying attention and telegraphing passes. We do a nice warmup drill of layups off the glass and in the basket, but when the game is on to many layup shots just trying to get it over the rim and bouncing out. Turnovers and lazy passing, but definitely the team play that beat Lex was there last night, so we are capable of good games and I liked seeing the hungry young guys out on the floor, but someone has to hit outside shots besides Wasson and Pirman......... also very few students and only 1 stood the first half and she sat the second, colts students sat the whole game!
GoPackers !! -
BRFThanks for the good info, riders1 (and to the newcomer, too, grandpa!). The time has come to scrap that starting line up with the two shortest guys out and one of the bigs, either Pirman or Winters out but subbing frequently. For some reason, the coach doesn't like Mitchell, but I would start him along with Neer.
Go Riders! -
thePITmanIn the gym and all set up. I'm hoping for a good game tonight! I'll be posting quarterly scores and probably the WebCast link with stats, too.
Good luck, Titans! Beat the Riders! -
